That’s adorable.  My husband is so not that smooth.  I hint, I make lists, I pull up web browers and say “put your CC here.”  And at the last minute he panics and whines “I don’t know what to get yooouuuu….”

Very cute!

I had to tell mine to do that with my Christmas present. He kept texting me from the outlet mall asking what I wanted and telling me he was having trouble finding something. I finally told him that he was ruining the surprise, so he should text my BFF for help instead of me. She helped him pick out a very nice purse at the Coach outlet. 🙂

@LadyBlackheart:  LOL My SO hasn’t done this, but my BFF’s now-husband had me help him pick her engagement ring. He was in the store and kept sending me pics of drastically different styles. I could tell he was totally confused. We were all meeting up in a few days after BFF’s licensing exam, so I knew she’d be busy and totally unaware of what either of us were doing for several hours during the exam. Her DH & I met up at the store and I helped him narrow it down to 3 beautiful rings. He picked the biggest one (smart boy) and all was well. 🙂 It was fun being a part of it and hilarious meeting up for lunch and pretending we hadn’t seen each other in a while.

For my presents, SO just looks at my Amazon list 😛

@LadyBlackheart:  I am really lucky that my FI is so sweet and perceptive. He knows me better than anyone else in the world, even my own sister. He thinks of better, more thoughtful gifts for me than she does. Your story is a sweet one, but I would be annoyed if my FI couldn’t think of something on his own. Silly, I know, but he set the expectation.
