Exciting! My BF took me ring shopping ages ago, but a couple days ago he asked again what I would say if he proposed [uh, yes!]. He said he wanted to make sure so he could get the ball rolling. I honestly think it'll be within the next month or so. I'm so excited!
That's awesome! Ring shopping is so much fun. I remember the very first time I tried on an engagement ring and it looked so foreign and out of place on my finger. Then after trying on a few more I started to really get attached to the look and by the time we were in the car on the way home I was sad I had to leave all those gorgeous rings behind and I had a sad, bare finger as my only reminder that we had been ring shopping. I hope he is able to buy it for you soon and you get that summer proposal! That would be amazing!
Lucky girl!! Do you have a pic of the ring? I love princess cut. I know like asscher more but the hearts knows what it wants.
Congrats on finding your dream ring!! If you havent checked reputable online dealers - bluenile, jamesallen, goodoldgold, etc, you may want to point your bf in that direction also to find a similar style. I dont want to bash on mall chains, but in my past shopping I've found that they usually are not the best bang for your dollar and you'll probably be able to find your ring online cheaper or same price and much better quality diamonds. I just did a quick blue nile search and found a similar setting for $1222, and .76 princess very good cut, H, VVS1 for $2001.
@Beautiful Bluegrass- I don't have a pic unfortunately, I was too busy drooling over it at the store to take any photos lol
@Pinkshoes- I've heard a lot of great things about Blue Nile and I had pointed them out to BF, but he's not very keen on the whole online process, he's much more of a "go in and buy it" type of guy. And truthfully, after trying rings on in the store and realizing how anal about details I am, I'd be worried about it not being what I expected.
And thank you, @TriciaandDazzling and @shirasagi for your stories and support!

So last Friday, BF and I were at the mall having lunch and he (not so subtly) asked me if I wanted to go look at engagement rings. Clearly, my answer consisted of a stupid smile on my face and a nod.
We finished our lunch and went into Zales where the sweetest old lady ever helped me try on a few different styles. I'm pretty set on a princess cut solitaire in a white gold setting, so she had me try on a couple and ladies, I found THE ONE.
It's a gorgeous 3/4 ct. princess-cut center stone on a white gold cathedral setting with 1/4 ct. total pave diamonds halfway down the band. I put on that ring and literally had no words. All I could do was smile and stare at it. The sales associate gave the stock number and item description to BF on a business card so that he can go back to get it later when I'm not there.
Now I'm super antsy wondering when BF will have the money saved up to buy it (he budgeted for under $3000 and THE ONE is a little over $3000) and when he plans to propose, but I have a feeling it will be sometime this summer. I'm insanely excited, and just had to share it with my fellow bees-in-waiting :)
