Bella: Thanks! The labels were bought from labels by the sheet and the monogram was made for the couple by a friend so I just edited a little and printed it on our home printer!
gorgeous! and i also love the labels! where did u order the bags from?
The labels made a really cute detail! I also like the variety of jar shapes.
I love it....I might borrow their saying "love is sweet" ....i'm inspired.
Super cute! I love it. I wanna do a cookie buffet lol bc i love cookies!
Those look fantastic! You've done such a great job with them -- your BFF is a lucky bride.
I'm snowed in in Northern Va as well. Second time this year! Unbelievable!
Cute! I love these, I was just thinking yesterday if there was a way to do signage for cheaper than buying framed signs for every single thing.
FI and I are from Northern VA, we are missing the snow as I read about it on all my friends' Facebook statuses. Not much snow here in Seattle.
Thanks BEES!! Being snowed in isn't all that bad!! I get to do wedding projects with no excuse and stay in with the fiance!!
@ missjayellegee: the labels are from http://www.labelsbythesheet.com/. The monogram was designed by a friend and I just used clip art and the website's sticker template. The bags are from Papermart.com.
@ msmonika: I'm glad it inspired you...WB always inspires me too!
@ honeybear: I love that idea!! If I was a guest I would love to be seated next to that table!! Do you plan on using homemade or store bought cookies!?
@ lovesmartdesign: Thanks, the BFF always tells me how lucky she is!!
If you check out my site...she has her own DIY section of the stuff I did for her on MY wedding blog!! hahaha!! The snow is crazy huh? I think it might be more here in Richmond and its still snowing!!
@ littlestbirds: You can totally do cheap signage!! All I used was paper I already had in my scrapbook room and ribbon I already had from previous projects for her wedding!
I think you could buy the clear lucite borderless frames at office depot. I'm buying those for our "information center" I'm putting up at the resort. Gives a borderless look and it's much more expensive than traditional frames. If you do need frames, wait until you get a coupon at Michael's and then go buy them. That's what I do!
@ Bellenga: Haha... I do the same thing!! I don't go to Michael's unless I have a coupon!! Thank goodness for those weekly email coupons!! I'd be real broke otherwise!
Wow great job!! I didn't want a candy buffet, but after seeing this, I'm trying to figure out how to work it in!
:)
@ Marinara: The jars we're borrowed from a friend, she had a candy buffet @ her wedding too. But I think maybe Ikea and Michael's. It should be too hard to find inexpensive jars! You can even try the Good Will.
@Jingle- Great job! What bags are they? I'm on the site and cannot find them!
@ Soon2beeMrsM: Sorry this is late, but here's the link. Its called the small frosted sos bags on papermart.
@jingle...thanks for the link to the bags! just wondering...how many bags did you order based on the amt of ppl at the wedding? i am having around 300 (although i know not EVERYONE will want to get candy...not sure if I should order one or two cases?)
tnx!
Oh wow! I love it :D And that cookie buffet is awesome.
I like it! But won't the kids at the wedding just attack the candy before the adults get to it?
I'm thinking about having a candy buffer at the wedding instead of favors. I can't believe that I didn't even think about labeling jars! You're totally correct on the allergies thing, if my dad gets any fruit on anything he eats, there is the potential to go into severe anaphelactic shock and that just wouldn't be cool. Also, my FI's family has a lot of sensitivities, so the ability to have more choices while still not endangering anyone is good. I think we're going to have the candy buffet on a wheeled cart or something so that people can wander over after it's set out and fill up their bags. That way we can control when people have access to it because there are soo many kids in FI's family (like 20 nieces and nephews already!)
@ missjayellegee: Sorry so late! I only ordered 1 case (250 bags) for a wedding of 360. You figure not everyone will get candy and my BFF didn't get enough candy for 360 guests anyway. I think 1 case would be good for your wedding.
@ thefuturemrsgibbs: The kids will probably get to it first (hopefully with adult supervision), but its still fun to have! I'm always craving chocolate!
@ Toffee: Labeling is such a great idea, it made something blah into something more inviting. Besides you can never be too careful with the allergy thing!

I'm snowed in so I'm getting a lot done! My BFF's wedding is NEXT WEEKEND...eekkkss!!
She wanted a candy buffet and her intial thought was to throw some jars and vases on the table and call it a day. I quickly said "NO, add labels because what if someone is allergic to something (i.e. nuts), accidentally eat it and then go into shock b/c of a bad allergic reaction, then your day is ruined!" Okay I know a little dramamtic, but I'm all about details so I offered to lend a helping hand!
