Ok long story short, I tested today and am not pregnant. We weren’t TTC yet but I’m surprised about how sad I am feeling.
A bit more details: DH and I aren’t TTC until later this year. We have only been married a few months and want to enjoy some more ‘us’ time first. However, we were just on our honeymoon in his home country and sort of joked about having a baby ‘made in his homeland’.
I just stopped bcp and so my periods haven’t regulated yet and I am on CD31 and was expecting my period on CD25, while we were still on vacation. These last few days have been sort of weird, waiting for AF to show, and DH and I both wondering ‘what if..’
I didn’t really think I was pregnant, but somehow seeing that negative test has made me feel sad And almost..disappointed? I’m waiting for DH to come home so I can tell him and feel myself getting a little choked up.
Has anyone else been in this situation before?

Yes. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. 🙁
DH and I had been married about 6 months when I had a period that decided to show up 2 weeks late, and I’m usually pretty regular. We had talked about waiting until our first anniversary to start trying, but we were both pretty disappointed when AF finally showed up. Since we both felt that way we decided that we didn’t need to wait another 6 months to start trying. We got our BFP the next month.
Hopefully you’ll feel better once you talk to your DH.

@Pink Asawa: Do you know if in fact you have ovulated?

@candy11: no, I’m not sure. Since I was on vacation for so long I really wasn’t paying attention to any indicators around my expected ovulation date or afterward.

@bunnymama: thank you, he came home and I let him know. He made me feel better and reassured me how wonderful it will be when we are ready in a few more months and get our BFP.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy 🙂

Yes most definitely. BFN’s are the worst 🙁 Also travel messed with my cycle, so sometimes weird things happen, ovulation is different, etc. Your trip could have had something to do with it, or it just might take a little bit more time.

I had one late period when we weren’t TTC, and it was because of travel. Travel can actually delay ovulation, which then delays your period.
