Well, 2 BFP’s actually. I couldn’t believe my eyes, so I took a second one, lol! What do I do, now?? Should I make an appointment with my OB/GYN, ASAP? Or, will they make me wait to come in? I think I’m rambling, but I can’t help it! We’ve been trying for 6 months, so you would think I would be more prepared, but I’m really not…I’m terrified, but in a good way…

PakiBee03: Congrats!!!! I waited a couple weeks, then called my gynecologist to make an appointment (which they made for 8 weeks along). Then I changed my mind and decided I wanted to be seen at a birth center by midwives, so I canceled my first appointment and made one at the birth center. Best of luck to you!!!

Every doctor’s office does it differently so I’d call now and let them know you got a positive pregnancy test and they’ll tell you what they want to do. Mine schedules a 6 week and 10 week appointment right off the bat, based off of last missed period date. The 6 week appointment is with the nurse practitioner to go over the ins and outs of pregnancy and what to expect and do blood work. The 10 week is with the OB for pelvic exam, bedside ultrasound, probably more blood work. 🙂 Congratulations and good luck!!

Congrats! Yes like PP’s mentioned contact your ob/gyn and see what there procedure is. My dr saw me at 6w (did an internal ultrasound and heard the heart beat) and then saw me every 4 weeks after that.

Congrats! I called right away and even though my doctor doesn’t make appointments until 8 weeks, they still had me stop in and get a package of pre-natal samples and some literature.

Congrats! When I found out I went in right away to confirm the pregnancy at the doctor’s office. then it was a few weeks until I went in to make sure the pregnancy was still progressing properly. Then it was regular visits. Every doctor is different.
