For me, the biggest symptom, was having NO unusual symptoms….. Anything I felt was the same as when I’m expecting my period. I was 100% convinced I wasn’t pregnant!

@PinkTeapot:  the way I knew was a positive pregnancy test. Symptoms are wildly different for everyone- at 33w I have never had sore boobs for example.

I think your best bet is to choose a day you plan to test & go about your life as usual until that date. Symptom spotting is largely a waste of time.

+1. And may I add, your test date should be no sooner than the day your period is due. Some women get BFPs earlier than that, but the vast majority don’t.

We tried for 4-5 months. Every month i WASN”T pregnant I noticed something was ‘off and thought I was pregnant. Took prego tests and was suprised they were negative 4 months in a row. So skip to this september, I knew I was going on a trip around my period – DIDN”T do it the ‘fertile days’ according to Fertility Friend. I was positive that I wasn’t pregnant. PMS was like clockwork. Would have bet 1 million dollars I wasn’t. I was. Just buy a bunch of tests. My husband actually didn’t even think I should test since I so often took them for nothing. Since it was a family vacation my mom had told me the night before she had a dream I was pregnant. That just pushed me to buy a test only 1 day late. Cheap tests are pretty good. Stock up and just let go of guessing. It really helped with I stopped watching everyting I ate or drank on the 2WW. And my doctor is not worried at all I drank beer before the embryo was 2 weeks old.

Honestly I really couldn’t tell a difference between the two…my symptoms were exactly the same! I always start very early on the exact day and when AF didn’t show up I knew to take a test and it was positive!

Only thing different for me was I got light cramps a few days before my period was due both times I’ve been pregnant.  For AF cycles, I have never had cramps until the day AF showed up.  I usually got cramps, and by the end of the day AF had arrived.  So when she didn’t show and I was still having intermittent cramping, I took a test and got a BFP.  That being said, everyone is different and I had plenty of cycles before getting a BFP that I had other odd symptoms and was convinced it meant I was pregnant but I wasn’t.  I think it is a lot easier to recognize symptoms once you have been pregnant before as you have a better idea of how your body reacts but even then every pregnancy can be different.  Good luck!
