Just wanted to do a happy dance to say we got our BFP on our 4th month of trying.
In case it gives hope to some of those girls starting out on their TTC journey, we charted from the beginning and had perfectly timed sex each month. So it just goes to show that even perfectly timed sex doesn’t = a baby. Our little soul was obviously making us wait just a little bit 🙂
I also 100% believe that seeing a traditional chinese medicine practitioner in my second month to help regulate my cycles and hormones made all the difference (I had been having irregular cycles since coming off BCP 10 months earlier, although thanks to temping I knew I always ovulated.)
Almost immediately my skin cleared up completely (I had acne on my back and temples since coming off BCP – a sure sign my hormones were imbalanced) and my cycles regulated to “normal” lengths. I got pregnant 2nd cycle after starting. And my skin is fanastic, I still can’t even believe it.
Also, just to reassure any Bee’s in the same boat – I never made EWCM the whole time I was off the Pill. Ever. My CM would get watery for sure around ovulation, although funnily enough, this cycle (where I actually got pregnant) my CM was minimal and sticky at best around ovulation. In fact, I nearly missed it because I didn’t think I was about to ovulate!! So I used Preseed internally. Who know’s if that’s what helped but I’m pregnant 🙂
So I’m super excited, due just before Christmas and my hubby and I are so happy. I just want to add as well, that I have seen how many girls struggle to get their BFPs (I will admit that each month that I got a BFN I truly felt that it would never happen) and I will never take this blessing for granted. I pray that each and every one of you get your BFPs soon! xx

Congratulations!! So happy for you. 🙂
and I second what MrsFairyBee asked, what did you take from the chinese medicine? My hormones are still slightly off balance and would like to fix that if possible.

MapleCreekBride: MrsFairyBee: I don’t know exactly what herbs they were, she would make them up for me in the clinic and then I would make them into a tea. I saw her every 2 weeks and she would adjust the herbs depending on where in my cycle I was. I would suggest finding a practitioner in your area who does acupuncture and herbs. I’m in Australia and I know here all TCM practitioners are registerewind have university qualifications.
Thanks everyone for the congrats, very exciting.
Another thing I thought I would add is that I symptom spotted every month and it wasn’t helpful. One month I had nausea and got excited but it was nothing and last month I had what I thought was implantation bleeding at 10DPO but again, nothing.
This month my only symptoms were sore boobs which I never get, starting 11DPO. And I was exhausted, like not just tired in the head but like my bones were tired. I still didn’t test till 13DPO though because I told myself those symptoms could just be progesterone/AF symptoms.

bearsreddy: I went to a Chinese medicine practitioner too during my first month TTC. She prescribed me herbs that I was to make into a tea. she said if the herbs tasted too bad I could try a powder and if that was too unpalatable there were pills. she recommends them in that order in terms of potency. just be warned that I could not handle the herbs, they were FOUL; not just bitter, all kinds of disgusting. Something to keep in mind!
Congrats PinkTeapot: !
