I will be getting a Krupp cut which is kind of like te emeralds glamorous cousin. I say that because it has a few more steps as well as windmills (google it if you don’t know it it’s gorgeous). It punches it up a bit, technically it is an elongated acssher. The Krupp cut will be coming out in the Amora gem in about a couple mints here and will be priced at $599/ct. While there is a hole patent thing shipping loophole you will have to go through to get it in the US thisbear instead of next year it’s very much worth it.

I would suggest that you go here…

In order to read all about the Amora Gem. It sounds like its exactly what you’re looking for. Gorgeously cut, lots of sparkle, hard just like a diamond and affordable.

* I love the first setting you have picked, it’s a classic Harry Winston design and my second choice for ring setting. My first choice is princess cut channel set sidestones. My center stone will be about 3.5cts. But my finger is also a size 8.

I like helping when and if I can…

This is a jewelry supply place located in NYC.  They even have a phone number and you can call and ask questions.  I’ve ordered from them before.  Its called Jammin Gems.  This is how it works…  You pick a setting and put in the specifications.  For example:  You can have the rings made of sterling silver, white or yellow gold.  You can pick one of their gems or send them your own.  Just make damn sure that stone will fit or there will be many issues!  When I looked on their site I did not see any settings with baguettes but they have others.  I love baguettes also sorry they don’t hav’em.  Is it possible to later get a band that is just baguettes for the look you want?

Lab created emeralds:

Emerald settings for faceted stones:

This is new…  They also have just the heads that can be saudered onto a band.  Maybe an option for you? also has this setting in yellow gold:

How big are we talking? These aren’t completely what you are looking for, but are in the budget and etsy sellers usually can customize!

This seems the closest to what you are looking for, I’m not sure if it is large enough and if you would like the yellow gold shank

I bet they could do a bezel setting for about the same price. They have them listed in different golds and different stone sizes

I think quite a few bees have gotten their rings from this store. I know they do custom work,

so while this isn’t really what you’re looking for, I’m sure they could do it without the halo.

good luck! Let us know what you decide to do!

Have you thought about a white sapphire? I too am obsessed with emerald cuts, and while I really do want a diamond, my SO said that when the time comes, he’s not too comfortable paying more than around 3K for the ring, and that’s not doable, since I also want a halo, which tends to be a more expensive setting. So I’ve looked at the natural sapphire company, and Shane Co. and they have tons of great styles and white sapphires are a much, much more affordable option!

Check out onegarnetgirl on etsy.

This is a green amethyst, but she offers sapphire, topaz, and morganite on her etsy site, so I bet you could get something custom in your preferred stone.

and this is a  white topaz with sterling silver

@Halloweenie:  you sound like me lol.  After I got engaged with an amazing round brilliant I came to this website.  Somehow I became insanely obsessed with emerald cut diamonds.  I would kill for a big ol three stone emerald cut.  I recently stumbled across a three stone white sapphire emerald cut ring and its within that budget! I hope to get it as a right hand ring in the future, but we cannot currently afford another ring.  I think white sapphire will look really good in a step cut.  So perhaps consider white sapphire?? Here is the link:

And here is a photo because I love looking at it 🙂

@Halloweenie:  The vintage emerald cut diamond ring is stunning.

I love it. If you can swing it, it is truly beautiful.

@Halloweenie:  I’d go for the antique ring. It is so gorgeous and does look right on your hand. I don’t know if you are of the ‘upgrade’ mind, but I’m a big believer in getting your dream ring the first time, budget allowing. You could always get a yellow gold wedding band, if you still want yellow gold. The gemvera settings look a bit clunky compared to the first one you posted. Their prongs are so prominent and rounded, I prefer the lower, more delicate prongs of the first one. One thing with older rings is that you might want to take it to get check out somewhere. You don’t want to loose a diamond because of a weak prong. It’s a cheap repair worst case.

I have white sapphire earrings, and it’s amazing how much more sparkly my diamond is. I guess I am more pro diamond that sapphire if I had to pick between the two. My choice might be biased due to that.
