OK here is a closeup of the beading and the hair pins I recently ordered. The jewelry has the same cream pearls as the hair pins
No one will notice anything not next to the dress, like hair pins (which are great btw). For the necklace you might want white pearls.
I love your hair pins! I really don't think anyone will notice that they're a different colour. I think they'll look great!
I love the hair pins! and I highly doubt anyone will notice, if anything, they'll go pretty well together!
I agree that the hairpins are very pretty and no one will notice the color. You might contact the Etsy seller who did the necklace and see if she can change them out. It might cost you a little but worth asking. I bought a veil from Etsy and it was not what I had wanted at all, not her fault totally mine. So I emailed the girl and asked if she could change a couple of things. She did and I love the veil now.
I think your hairpins will be great! I actually think the contrast (although very little) will look great because the tiny beading around the pearls on the hairpin is actually white like the dress. I say dont worry about the hairpins...its gonna look awesome...and I would just change out the pearls like others are saying.
was at the mall the other day just browsing through the jewelry. My dress is pure white and also has white pearls on it. I told them, well, since my dress does have pearls, shouldn't I buy a pearl necklace? And they said No! the necklace has to match with my dress and tiara. I will probably buy some fake diamonds and diamond necklace.
I voted no you shouldn't buy new jewelry because to be real nobody will notice but you, but it is your wedding so if you don't want to be sad about your jewelry. So it's really up to you.
Sadly, I doubt anyone will notice the different colors. If anything, they'll think you have blushed pearls. If I were a guest I would assume the difference was that your hair pins and necklace are real pearls and your dress was made with fakey pearls. But really, try putting them all on together (the dress, necklace, and hair pins) have someone take a picture in several different lightings, then see if you can tell in the photos. If not, don't worry about it. If so, you can decide if it's enough to bother you or not.
MightySapphire, I think I will try that. I still have plenty of time to order new ones if need be.
The hair pins are from Etsy seller Handwired. She does beautiful work!
If I were a guest at your wedding, I would probably notice :) But the most important thing is, do YOU feel uncomfortable with that jewelry and the dress? Because if you do, I would say "change it".

I bought my dress last June and since it came in, it's been in my parent's attic and I haven't seen it since I brought it home. The dress is (very pale) ivory, so I have been buying all my accessories in "cream" since then. I never once thought that they wouldn't match. Well the pearls on the dress are white and the ones on my jewelry are very much ivory/cream colored. I bought them from two different Etsy sellers between last summer and last month. I can try to exchange the jewelry for new ones but it was all custom work so I don't think there's much hope.
What should I do?
