Despite all the negative reviews I read about Big Time Moments just prior to our wedding date we are thoroughly content with the fact that we went with Big Time Moments for our wedding!  We had some uncertainty just before the day, but we stuck with them. Here’s how the story goes of how our choice was made…..

So my Fiance and I decided to go with Big Time Moments for DJ, Photography, and Videography.  When we first met with Carlos he gave us a run down of what we can expect and showed just few examples he had available to show us in his office.  We weren’t being too picky at the time and we decided to go with them even though they were the only company we had met with for all three services.

As it got closer to the date I had some time off work and read up on all the reviews I could possibly find on the internet about Big Time Moments.  Let’s just say that I nearly had a panic attack and after showing my Fiance the reviews he was beginning to be pretty shaky with the decision we had made too!

After I had back-ups prepared for the day, as the wedding was only 3-4 weeks away….we went to Carlos to cancel even though we knew we would probably be losing our $500 deposit.

When we met up with Carlos I must say that we were simply expecting him to say “OK you can cancel with us, but you will be losing your $500.” Well boy were we ever wrong! Not only did Carlos explain each complaint made on the Wedding Bee, in detail and in all fairness, he literally would not let us quit with him and said that we’d see what a mistake we would be making by cancelling!

He could have just taken the $500, but instead he wanted to prove the quality of his business!! We respected that and stayed with them keeping our fingers crossed.

On the day of the wedding Kevin was our photographer, Carlos was our videographer, and the Dj’s named has slipped my mind, but not because of his services cuz he rocked!!

Kevin was very sincere and did not rush our photos even though we had only allotted 1 and ½ hours for pics! He seemed professional and creative….he also went along with our Best Man’s ideas which was very inclusive and open of Kevin….some photographers would just say “Yeah that might be nice.” And pay no further attention towards the idea….it was a tug of war thing…I am hoping it looks pretty awesome….Greg!!!!Lol.  Anyways that’s all I can really say for photography so far as I am still waiting for my pics which is normal it’s only ben 3 weeks and we were warned it will be at least 4 months until the touched up photos and everything are ready…which is nice to know ahead of time.

Carlos seemed like a great videographer and seemed to catch most of the moments I would expect or want to have on video and more (They do need to eat too they’re only human!).  They do need to be very quiet because of the mic on the camera so you don’t hear a lot from the person doing videography. Carlos also warned us about that…All in all I am sure the video should be great I can let you all know about that later too!

Our DJ rocked!  I gave all of them a schedule with the times for everything that would be happening that night or approximate times…nothing ever goes perfectly on a wedding day with strict timelines throughout the entire night!  Anyways back to the DJ he followed our whole laid out timeline and asked pertinent questions to make the intros, the speeches, my slideshow, our first dance, the bar hours, when the appetizers came out, the cake cutting, all clear and run smoothly!  My favourite part was the games they chose for entertainment, without me having to ask, and the centrepiece game.  Also most of our requests were played, our special instructions were followed to a tee, and he was a genuine person who cared about your day and the quality of the services! The music selection was awesome, a mix of everything with Top 40 and by the end of the night a couple of my friends were break dancing right when the DJ put Tribe Called Quest on, as requested and as soon as I mentioned it was the right time! But you should always give a timeline to the DJ, Photographer, and videographer with special instructions laid out for them..there’s a lot to remember!

So as I said at the beginning I am thrilled that we stayed with them for our day that turned out to be a  day to remember in a very awesome way! We would totally recommend Big Time Moments(at least the crew we had) to any of our friends!

    Thanks guys!!!!
