Weddingbee boards
As many of you know, eHarmony has been Weddingbee's home for the past few years.
A few months ago, we began refocusing our efforts and resources on helping people all over the world get into great long-term relationships. Part of that re-focusing effort also meant looking for a new home for Weddingbee, ProjectWedding and JustMommies. It was extremely important that we matched Weddingbee with a team that would love Weddingbee as much as we and you do, and who would take great care of this wonderful Community.
We are pleased to introduce you all to Internet Brands, Weddingbee's new owner. Internet Brands is a fantastic, community-centric company (so much so that they purchased vBulletin a few years back, which many of you know is a very widely used bulletin board system. We are confident that they will love, honor and cherish the Hive as much as we do!
What does this mean for the hive?
We actually don’t anticipate that much will change for you at all. Mrs. D.G. will continue to be the Community Coordinator and Cathy (Mrs. Penguin) will continue as Editor in Chief. While I won’t be working on the site any longer 
, I will however be dating in earnest in the hopes that I can someday join you all as a bride-to-be! 
On a personal note (and I think I speak for everyone at eHarmony who’s been involved with Weddingbee) it’s been an honor and a delight to be a witness to the incredible devotion, creativity, generosity, friendship and just overall fabulousness that you embody, and it has been SO much fun watching your beautiful weddings come together. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of it – we will miss you!

@Lorienne: hmmm... does that mean eHarmony got bought out or just WeddingBee? (What? I'm nosy! :P)
hmmm maybe there can be some appropriate much needed policy changes in regard to being able to delete our own posts.

@Zinzerena: Weddingbee was purchased from eHarmony, there's no ownership change for eHarmony itself.

I hope this means that the new owners are better equipped to handle the tech demands of such a large board so we can see less of the maintenance man!
Hi Weddingbee!
My name is TaliaRose. I work with the company Internet Brands. We are located in sunny and warm El Segundo, California, overlooking LAX (Los Angeles Airport) and more importantly, the Pacific Ocean! I am excited to get to know all of you and to help out as needed.
I realize that parting ways with eHarmony is a shock for many of you. While I am super optimistic about this transition, I understand how some of you might be confused or concerned about what it means for you. Weddingbee is the place you’ve trusted with your personal experiences – the friends and bonds you’ve made here are something you value highly.
Don’t tell my boss, but, I’ve spent the better half of this week looking through all your gorgeous wedding photos and reading your stories. I have to say I am very excited to be a part of the team here because I can see how much love you put into this website.
My main role is to provide support for Cathy/Mrs. Penguin (who will remain the Editor in Chief, of course!), Vicki/Mrs. DG, and Holley/Mrs. Mouse, as well as our moderators and the Weddingbee community.
As Mrs. Penguin mentioned, we now have the benefit of a team of people at Internet Brands that will assist us if there are technical issues on the website, or, if we want to launch new features (fun!). I will help out as much as I can in this process, and champion your ideas, wants, and needs.
So... a little bit about me. I have a background in website management, everything from the technology to the content. Along with being a major web geek, I am also obsessed with art, food (duh!), and the environment. I love jewelry making and painting. I have to say... I’m not very good at any of it, but it’s the journey that counts, right?! When I’m not glued to my computer screen, I spend a lot of time outdoors biking, hiking, and gardening.
I know many of you have questions. I am very responsive, so please do not hesitate to send me a message or reply with your questions here.

Lori - We're sad to see you go! Wishing you a plethora more of fantastic dates with your great guy so we can see you back here ASAP! You could always join the waiting boards in the meantime :) Three dates qualifies right?! LOL!

I'm fixating on the mention of vBulletin. Is the board going to move to that format? I LOVE vBulletin boards.
@Lori - oh, you leaving us is sad, here's fingers crossed for you that we will see you back to the planning boards in no time. @Jeannine @ Small Chic: hmmm... I'm kinda partial to the setup here, but I'll admit the other board/forum I belonged/belong to uses vBulletin and I liked some of it. It could've just been the way they had theirs setup, too.... the didn't exactly have a "main page" where you could see all the most recent posts (which I really do like).

Congrats on the changes. If I may humbly request more speed, that'd be great. I'm on a T3 connection and this site still gets bogged down like it's 1998 on AOL. :)

@Zinzerena: On the vB boards I'm on, there's a "New Posts" button on the top menu bar, which will show you threads that have replies based on your last visit. There's also a link under "Quick Links" for "Today's Posts" and you can also mark all forums read.
Can you tell I'm a vB nerd? :)

A Weddingbee mobile app is a super idea! I don't have any plans for this in the near future, but it will most definitely be a topic for continued discussion. If there are threads already started on this subject, I'll be sure to read them over too, so I can get a better understanding of the most requested features.

I think it would be awesome to have an app and we'll look into it a bit down the line. Afterall, it is only my first day! 
@TaliaRose: If you look above the brides head on the top left of the page you'll see an Ideas link. You can see some of the ideas for improvements our members have suggested. Members can vote on them, so you can see what's popular/most wanted and what's not. I'm sure Mrs DG and Pengy will also fill you in on a lot more too! Don't want to innundate you here, LOL!

This may be a good time for board bees to get their top ideas onto the ideas page and to vote for ones that are important to you! It will help us in prioritizing WB upgrades :) I'm excited about the possibilities this avails to us!
