@futuremrsk18:  I agree with straps coming back, and I can only see more vintage-themes and lace in the near future!

I don’t want ballgowns to make a big hit though, I wanna stand out and its getting more common to have mermaids and the like than a ballgown 🙂

I can also see those dresses with see-through panels getting bigger and bigger, more and more common, till in a few years it’ll be as popular as everything else :/

Yes definitely more straps.  (cue jealous married lady)  They are everywhere.  Illusion necklines too.  I am also seeing more sheaths than before too.

I was chatting with my mum yesterday. She said that peplum dresses are still going to be a big trend. She said it would be nice if my bm’s had them. I’m not sure.

Straps/illusion necklines

Lace. I know lace was big in 2013 but I feel like I’m seeing more and more designers releasing tons of lace, especially in different styles. When I was looking for dresses (Sept. 2012) all the lace dresses were trumpet/mermaids. Now there’s ballgowns, a-lines, trumpets, fit-n-flare, mermaids in lace.

@futuremrsk18:  Haha here’s hoping 😉 Yup, sheaths on a tiny girl just make me ahhh, but it’ll never be me haha 🙂

@Soon2BD-CBee:  I just enjoy saying the word. Peplum. Peplum. Peplum. Tehehe 🙂 I don’t think they look sophisticated enough for a wedding though, and I think one day we will look at them like shoulder pads for your hips! They are flattering on little girls though, but definitely not for everyone.

My dress doesn’t have a peplum but my mom’s MOB dress does and it is BANGIN HOT. Who would have thought? When she said it had a peplum though, I made a judgement face. Until I saw the picture.

@futuremrsk18:  Definitely more lace. I think strapless gowns will never go out of style, but I do see more sleeves, straps, and interesting necklines. Also less dropped waist; natural waist seems to be king. Fewer and fewer pickups, too. There is almost a return to more classic shapes and fabrics, smoother silhouettes. I think we’ll see a lot of Gatsby influence for a few years, too: sheaths, cap sleeves, intricate beading.

@FutureMrsHallam:  yeah I agree about them not being posh enough.
