Biggest Loser is definitely a big motivator for me!
I also have a post-in note on the side of my computer screen with the countdown to my wedding, and also have it written in big numbers on the white board in my office. Those help me resist the temptation to eat the yummy candy in the office.
I also have an "inspiration" photo on my desktop screen at work. :)
On a day to day basis, I'm pretty good, but whenever there is a change in my routine, it tends to mess me up a bit. i.e. going out for dinner, having company, having somebody unexpectedly offer me an icy cold beer on a brutally hot day ...
I have learned not to freak out about it. I just weigh myself after my bout of indulgence, get a little disgusted, look at a picture of my dress, go out for a big power walk, and get myself back on track.
As an aside, how messed up is it to advertise brownie blizzards during a Biggest Loser marathon? I think we should boycott Dairy Queen for utter cruelty and shamelessness. :-)
BL was an enormous motivating tool for me! But what kept me eating right? My wedding dress. I hadn't bought it yet, and I thought I'd try to fit into a smaller size. Turns out I bought a dress 2 sizes to big, LOL!
Cook your own food on Sunday and pack it in individual tupperware. This includes having readily available snack foods! What gets me off track is the EASE of junk food. It's just too easy to get a soda or a candy bar. If you have a bottle of water at the ready and a tupperware of veggies, you have no excuse because food is RIGHT THERE. All you have to do is make the right choice. When I made it easy for myself, I actually stopped craving junk food! I had veggies for snacks every day!!

Seriously, I've been watching the Biggest Loser Marathon on the Style channel for the past three hours. It's definitely motivating me to resist the urge to go and buy those Brownie Batter Blizzards they keep advertising on the commercial breaks. Ugh, it's little things like this that drive me nuts! I'm so motivated in the morning, but just watch- 3 pm will come along and destroy my determination.I've found that it's not necessarily the types of food that tempt me, but the time of day and the people I'm with. (My FI and MOH are both naturally thin and don't have to watch what they eat, like me!)
So this is a double-sided question- what motivates you to follow a healthy diet? And what trips you up and gets you off track?
