@loveinthelibrary:  Mine will be photography, which is the most important part of the day in my opinion. Also, the honeymoon (if that counts).

@loveinthelibrary:  My dress. I paid almost twice what we had budgetted. Whoops. I totally do not regret it. I think it is just the most beautiful wedding gown I’ve ever seen and it makes me feel perfect! I cannot wait to wear it 🙂

@loveinthelibrary:  photography – we spend more on that than anything else. I feel slightly guilty but I think I would have regretted getting someone I didn’t love

Our reception space/food. We are having it at a beautiful hotel overlooking the mountains. It is so gorgeous and the food is supposed to be pretty good. It is within our budget, but definitely takes up so much of it! We could have done something much simpler, but we really wanted to show off the location and throw a great party for our guests.

@loveinthelibrary:  I would probably have to say the venue. Just the use fee is about $10,000 for the night. Also my veil was about $650 so that was pretty pricey considering what I am paying for.

Our food/appetizers/bar. For sure. It was more than half of our budget.

We spent double what I budgeted for flowers, and don’t regret the decision (and hopefully won’t post wedding).  But I was willing to spend almost anything on photography, it’s the most important to me.  I feel like an area that I splurged was buying my 2nd dress, and renting sequin linens when we already had very nice linens provided by our venue.

Mine was photography, and I do not regret it at all. It’s a relative splurge, but I shopped around for months, and the one I chose was still a fantastic deal.

1) photo (biggest expense beside reception)
