I have the battery operated one that has the razor on the other end - and I LOVE it.  Just make sure to have batteries on hand because it does burn through them and you don't want to be "half done" and find yourself without one! :)

I used to but now i'm all about the waxes. Trims are great if you're looking to not go bare though.

Eh. The first time it bites/stings, after that, it's like, cake. It's like a fleeting pain. It hurts when she does it but you don't scream out or anything. I was kind like "oh that hurts, but i've had worse"

Believe it or not, the area that hurts the most is right in the middle above your pubic bone. You'd THINK other places would hurt more, but they don't

Waxing=totally worth it. I used to be a chicken tho.

I have to agree with waxing. It is so worth it when it's all over. But I am not going to lie and tell you it's not uncomfortable.

Just a word of caution though - Have you been waxed before?  Eyebrows, lip, etc?  I personally can't wax, my skin is way too red and tender (think I'm red for 24 hours after an EYEBROW wax, no matter how careful they are).

But don't shy away from waxing due to pain.  It's not that bad from that POV.

I use the Panasonic ES246, and I went with it because of the great reviews on Amazon.com. No complaints. It's also battery-operated, but I've gotten into the habit of popping in the batteries only for use so I can't say whether it is an energy sucker.
