So sweet! That is seriously one great guy, and can't wait to see your ring.
awww that's so sweet. Congratulations!!
That's wonderful. I would love to have had an antique ring that belonged to my family, or his. Congrats.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you both..just got the good news over on the Encore forum!
That's wonderful that you get such a treasured heirloom to remember. Its special meaning just makes me feel so warm inside. My grandparents are celebrating their 70th this summer and I just worry alot about how much longer I will have them..you almost made me cry with that post Amber..so sweet. They are both probably so happy for you.

I have been planning this wedding ringless for a while now. BUT 2 years ago Bill and I met for our first date at Famous Dave's. Last night he surprised me and took me back there, made arrangements for us to sit at the exact same table, then after dinner he gave me a cute & silly card, then got down on one knee and proposed :)
I will post pics of the ring later, but it is NOT the antique ring that we had bought before Christmas on ebay that I knew of. It is actually my Grandmother's ring (so still an antique but WAY more meaningful). She passed away in 2001 and my Grandfather passed away in 2002. They were together in Heaven in time for their 50th. It is VERY special and I was VERY surprised when he opened the box and I saw the ring.
