@thelittleone:  My girls are wearing Bill Levkoff 736 and although I don’t want to tell you what size to order, I will tell you ALL 4 girls have to get their dresses taken in. It’s like the salon measured them for a tight fitting dress when this one is flowy.

My girls are wearing bill levkoff as well. from what i understand the bridal stores want you to order based on your largest measurement just to ensure that the dress fits everywhere… the areas that are too big can be taken in but if an area is too tight it might not be able to be let out.

my girls all ended up ordering a size larger than their normal dress size (ie one normally wears an 8 and ordered a 10) but the dresses haven’t come in yet so i can’t comment on the fit. sorry not to be more help.

@thelittleone:  my girls are also wearing Bill Levkoff and I was told by the seamstress to order a size bigger bc Bill Levkoff dresses don’t give a lot of fabric inside in case they have to be let out. She showed me the inside of the sample and she was right! less than a half inch it looked like!

My measurements were 36/31/42 and I orrdered a 12 and had it taken in.  Make her get the 10. If she gets smaller she can have it altered.

All the BL bridesmaid dresses I’ve ever worn or tried on were sized smaller. I suggest going for the 10 and not the 8. I was a street size 6, Alfred Angelo bm dress size 6 and a BL bm dress size 10.

Tell her to get the 10!!!

I wore a Bill Levkoff dress a few years ago. At the time I was 5’0″ and 120 pounds. I ordered an 8 and only had to take it in a teeny bit around waist (well and a lot around the bust because I’m flat, but that’s not really relevant for your particular scenario :D).

Show her this post if you need to. I understand she doesn’t want to pay for alterations, but if the dress is too small she is screwed. It’s always easy to take a dress in a few inches, but taking it out? Not so much.
