Hello all! This is my first post to the blog, but I've been following for a few weeks.

Are there any Binghamton, NY Area brides posting? I will be getting married there, but planning the wedding cross country. Any recommendations on vendors, specifically cakes, flowers, photo and bands?

Hi,

I am getting married at the Chestnut Inn in Deposit (about 30 minutes south of Binghamton off Route 17) August 2010. It's a gorgeous inn built in the 20's on Oquaga Lake. I am using Main Street Grill and Bakery in Afton for my cake. They have beautiful cakes. I will probably do my own flower arrangements (either order online or buy in the flower district in NYC). Our friends are going to DJ and we have many musician friends who will be attending the wedding so some of them are going to play as well.

Have you picked your venue yet? I know of some other resources but they are in the Walton area.

Ohhh I'm thinking about getting married in the Binghamton area. We actually went to a bridal show there last weekend to get some ideas!

I will be getting married in the Binghamton area next June. I'm currently looking for venue sites as we do not want to get married in a church. Any suggestions would be great!!

I had to change my venue due to our original place going out of business. We are getting married next month at the West Branch Resort in Hancock, NY. They have been great to work with, the food is excellent and we love the outdoor setting. Good luck!

@Ruby79 - I just heard yesterday about the Chestnut Inn going out of business, that sucks! But I'm glad to hear you found another place!

We have been considering the West Branch Resort too but for some reason I just can't decide. Are you having your ceremony there too? I want to hear all about it! haha
