I’m in the process of buying all my reception decor. Since part of the event will be held indoor and the other part outdoor, we’re hoping to bring nature indoors, too, with a mix of bird-inspired centerpieces. Some tables will have birdcages with pillar candles inside, some will have vases of golden branches with tea lights hanging from the limbs and some will probably have nests or vases or something filled with oversized balls made of wooden vines.
Really want everything to be classically upscale, with some unexpected accents.
My question is whether I’m alone in this… Is anyone thinking of doing bird themed anything? Would anyone be interested in buying any of the bird cages after August 28?
Just trying to assess whether I’ll be able to recoup any of the cost after the big day…

Hey! I am also doing a ‘bird themed’ wedding but mine is before yours so I can’t help with that!
I think the great thing about bird cages is that they can fit in your decor at home after the wedding! I won’t have as many as you, but try hobby lobby..that’s where I got mine. I paid $20 for one (originally 40) for my cards!
Good luck! I’m trying to sell some holiday decor before I decided on the bird stuff :0)

I’m doing a bird theme as well. My wedding is October 2. I hope to have a lot of my stuff done by the end of August, but I’d certainly be interested in seeing what you have.
But I’ve seen quite a few other brides with bird themes, so I’m sure you’d find someone to take the stuff off of your hands!

I love that wedding! Thank you for adding the link! I found this awesome hair pin on Etsy, too. It looks so soft I just want to squish it. … I’m not really into the birdcage veil, but the feather cluster is spot on:
