We decided to making our wedding bird themed. I’m planning to use birdcages as my centerpieces. I’m thinking putting different sized blue candles (blue is our color) in side and wrap some vines around the cage.
Has anyone done something like this as their centerpieces? What sizes/height do you suggest? I don’t want to get something too big or too small.

The guidelines for birdcage centerpieces are the same as for any centerpiece. Keep the height low enough so it doesn’t interfere with your guests’ line of sight across the table. If they are too tall, conversation is difficult.
A general rule is that the centerpiece should be no taller than your wrist if you place your arm on the table as if you were going to arm wrestle. If you use this guide when you are shopping, you don’t have to whip out a tape measure, although if you are getting married it’s a good idea to have one in your purse at all times.

@julies1949: Thanks for the tip about the height centerpieces should be. I love that I can just whip my arm wrestling hand up and have a measure anywhere I go. 🙂
