I made this for a friend, to hang in her daughter’s nursery…

You could probably combine it with something like this: (e.g. “Hello. I’m Abigayle…”

@Corduroy:  We got an email from friends who recently had twins that explained the names they chose.  I thought that was fine.  I haven’t seen a name explanation on a card in the mail though.

Like… Selah.  Where did you get that from?  Her kids are Mason, Grant, Julianna, and Selah.  The girls are twins. 

I’d love to give a child my Grandmother’s middle name, though I’m not sure June needs a lot of explanation.  🙂

I believe one of the bees had a card explaining her daughters name on her own personal blog. But I don’t remember where anymore. I think it would be fine! 🙂

I don’t think an explaination is needed- you named your kid and that’s good enough.

Cute!  You could also say, 

Proud Parents are pleased to announce baby Blankety Blank, named after grandma Courduroy, 8 lbs 7 oz, 21.5 inches.
