This possibly could be done. Get an appointment to see your gyno as soon as you can and discuss it. I am actually using my BC to make my period fall exactly when I want it to so it'll be the last thing on my mind when I get married or go on my honeymoon.
I'm currently on birth control and if I stay on my regular pill schedule, I'm going to have mine in the middle of wedding/honeymoon. So I just take it continuously and move it up a bit. I've done it before for vacations. It's best to do it sooner than later in case of spotting or hormonal fluctuations! :)
I am getting me period THE DAY of my wedding! My gyno said for the month of May, when it comes to having to start the placebo pills (the last week) just start a new pack. Then I will have no period for May! YAY
Super easy to skip a period on the pill! On a monphasic pill, you just skip the sugar pills and move straight on to the next pack. With a tri-phasic it's a little more complicated.
In my experience, if I had already skipped one or two periods, I was much more prone to breakthrough and full blown bleeding if I was late taking a pill in the third month. To avoid this, I usually go one off, one on, and have a period every 2nd pack.
I guess I'm just wondering, since I've never had BC before, will it mess up cycles before the wedding?
I'm going on BC just so I can regulate my crazy period. I've done it in the past as well.
@M.Ruder: Probably not. You have a couple of months to adjust, and though it's a long time since I started using it, I don't remember there being any real issues. Maybe a bit of spotting throughout the cycle (and I have over the years changed pills a few times when the hormone dose wasn't quite right). Even now I can switch between using and not using from time to time without any major probs.
@M.Ruder:No, you will get a cycle the next month no problem, dont worry
Can I get these at my regular doctor? Or do I have to goto gyno? I'm asking because my gyno doesn't seem to ever have soon openings, always couple weeks away!
@M.Ruder: It depends on your doctor. Most won't prescribe BC unless you go for a pap with them.
My body regulates easily to BC, I don't have a lot of break through bleeding when on it.
the second we set our official wedding date, i'm doing this, because it looks like in a year from now, i will have my period ON our wedding- eeek.

Hi bees! So I'm a little afraid to admit...I know nothing about birth control pills. Well, I know a little but I just received a visit from Aunt Flo and I'm terrified it'll come on my wedding now! They way I work is my period tends to come 1-2 days later than it starts every month (if it comes at all). So the way it looks, I'll have her on my wedding & honeymoon.
I wasn't worried for a few months before this because it's been non-existant due to stress and that's pretty normal for me.
I'm wondering if there's still time to get on bc and regulate period to delay it for the wedding?! help?!
