@londonchick:  I’m on Microgynon! Have been for about 3-4 years now.

Nope, has NOT killed my sex drive at all. The boyfriend and I do it on average 6+ times a day when we see each other at least, pretty healthy sex life I’d say lol…

I have an incredibly high sex drive naturally, and Microgynon hasn’t changed that one bit thankfully!

@londonchick:  Have you been on other forms of hormonal contraception before? I know when I was on the depo, that killed my sex drive majorly, hated it. Thank goodness it all left my system quite some time ago, but I’ve had no problems with microgynon 🙂

@londonchick:  Nope, hasn’t affected my weight or anything either. I have a fairly high metabolism though.

Hasn’t affected my skin either, hasn’t caused me to break out etc (which is good, I have good skin and was worried this might change that, but it hasn’t!)

@londonchick:  Well I’ll be going on the Mirena when I get the all clear about other health issues I’m having, I like the idea of long-term contraception that doesn’t need much maintenance!

A lot of nulliparous women have had the IUS/IUD put in, and the WHO has said it’s fine as well, alongside other studies saying the risk increases are only really very minor.
