So I am on continuous use birth control meaning I take it for 3 months without taking the placebos. This is the first week I’ve taken the placebos, and I didn’t get my period. I’ve had cramps all week. Should I go ahead and start the next pack, or wait till I get my period?
(P.S. If you have a source for your answer, I’d appreciate it!)

My younger sister was on that kind before. As far as I know she didn’t have any problems with it. I’ve never been on that kind, but I’ve skipped the palcebo week before in order to skip my period for a month. I’d probably say that your body is not used to the specific pill yet, and you should probably keep going with it, and if it happens again then maybe contact your doctor, unless you’re worried you may be pregnant or anything, then just take a test or talk to your doctor now.
When your on the pill there’s not a real reason to have a period at all, since the pill tricks your body into thinking your pregnant, and therefore not ovulate. If I remember correctly, the only reason we have the placebo pills is to set our minds at ease by continuing to have a monthly period. Someone correct me if I’m wrong here.

That’s what I’ve heard too. I think I’ll just take an HPT tonight to be sure and then refill my pack tomorrow.
