I have been taking Sprintec for the past 4 years. I went to get my prescription refilled and the pharmacy said that Sprintec was back ordered and they wouldn’t be able to get any more for a few months. They gave me Mono-Linyah and said that it is the same thing. Just wondering if anyone has taken it? It is a generic for Ortho-cyclen, which I think Sprintec is also.

I haven’t taken it, but I did take Sprintec for years and I can confirm that it’s a generic of Ortho-Cyclen. Judging by the name, Mono-Linyah sounds like it’s the same type of BC – monophasic, or the same amount of hormones throughout the entire pack. So you should be fine taking that instead.

I just picked up my prescription for Sprintec and was given Mono-Linyah also.
I’ve been on Ortho-Cyclen for the last 6 months so I was a little cautious of the “generic of a generic” idea. It seems to check out ok online at least so it should be fine.

I just got put on Sprintec after taking the generic for Loestrin 21 for awhile. I wanted the placebo pills for the week off to help me remember better. Anyways, they filled my prescription the other day and I was given sprintec.
