Christino's is awesome for lunch! Yes yes!
Check out Island Way Grill online, if you like their menu I say go for it. Food is amazing and should be close for you!
Red Mesa and Ceviche are my two FAVORITE restaurants but I agree, expensive cab ride from clearwater. Good luck! Oh and just a quick tip if you are in town for a while, Frenchys on the beach has amazing lunch food!

Greetings Tampa Bay area bees! I need some suggestions for a good restaurant to take my husband and two other couples for his birthday. Not fancy, but not scrubby. We are foodies and love wine, beers, sangria, you name it. I've been considering Kiku Japanesse b/c it's a 2 second walk from our hotel, and Red Mesa and Ceviche came up in some searches, but it's about 30-40 mins from our hotel on Mandalay St. Anyone have any good suggestions? I'd like something close where we could be fair to a DD, or just get a cab and not spend a ton on a long cab ride. I'm going to take him to Cristino's pizza and Frenchy's for lunches, but the dinner still is open. Please let me know your ideas!! Not thinking any national chains, or basic food.
