I turn 24 in a week and I am still a little in shock of the number! I don't feel old, but when you think about being twenty four years ago, it seems a little long!

Happy Birthday!! You are not allowed to feel old until at least 26! LOL I just turned 26 last November and am starting to feel old! But not everyday, just some days.
Happy Birthday!!! I think I had a little of the same thought as you when I turned 23. Like 22 was still barely out of college/just past 21 but 23 was a bit more grown up or something? Of course 23 also coincided (for me) with the year I was graduating from school, getting a job, and finally 100% supporting myself. So it kind of seemed like "the end of innocence" for me or something :)
So far what I thought would be my hardest birthday was 25. It bothered me because it seemed FIRMLY in the grown-up realm rather than the "college days" realm and it puts me half way to 30... yikes! I actually planned a vacation for us to celebrate my 25th in Mexico because I was bummed about the birthday and wanted to make it a positive thing. As it turns out, my FI proposed on that trip 4 days before my birthday and so far, less than 6 months into my 25th year, I've gotten to buy a house, move in with my FI, and start planning my wedding! So-- it has actually turned out to be a kick-ass year even though I was worried about it.
Thanks for the birthday wishes :) Maybe i feel so old becuase I have a 2 year old, just bought a house, getting married this year, etc! I also think 26 is going to feel really old. I'm excited for 25 cuz its my fave number, but then 26....? Old again!!!
Not much on the birthday agenda. FIL's came over last night for dinner, and we are going to go to my parents' tonight. I'm at work all day, then have to go to class afterwards, so not that exciting!
Lol! First, happy birthday!!! Second, my FI said the same thing when he turned 23. I started to feel the omg I am old this year when I turned 25!
@RosieGirl- 25 is my favorite number too so I'm very excited! Getting married on Sept. 25th and then turn 25 3 weeks to the date after! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday! 23 is still super young... I had a hard time with 25 but the rest were easy. I will be 29 this year.
I think 26 and 34 will be other hard ones. I don't know why, those ones scare me!

I felt old when I turned 26 and again when I turned 28 because those numbers are just so dang boring. I liked being 23 because it's a prime number, and I liked being 24 because it's 4!, and I liked being 25 because it's 5^2, and I liked being 27 because it's 3^3, and I'll enjoy being 29 because it's another prime number, but 26 just felt so blah. And then 28, even though it's a perfect number, it just doesn't have the same pizzazz for some reason, lol. I'll probably feel old when I turn 30 simply because it's turning to the next decade, but then 31 is a Mersenne prime and 32 is 2^5 so at least I have those to look forward to!

Happy Brithday! I remember 23 feeling sort of "old" to me at the time, too.
26 sort of felt old too... it is sort of that tipping point where no one (except maybe you rparents) refers to you as a "kid."
I think 30 will definitely sound "old" when I get there!
It's my birthday today! I am so excited to turn the age that I will be when I marry Mr. Library!

I think the older I get, the more I think "old" really isn't that old. It's kind of weird. I don't see 50 or 60 as old anymore. And I'll be a quarter of a century old this year!! I like looking at it from that perspective :]

ughh... i'm turning 27 this year... 23 was superb, cuz i met FI two months before... 24 was also superb cuz we fell in love and he spoiled me rotten and i started a new job... 25 was fun, just cuz i love numbers than end in 0 or 5... 26 was too bad (we got engaged ,bought a house, and i got into law school!)
27... is just...
so old!

23 is NOT old!! I'm 23 and still feel very young. When my fiance turned 25 he was depressed because he said he was a "a quarter of a century" lol.
