I too am getting married in August and I have gone for the black dresses. I'm just gonna make sure they have some great jewelry to wear. I have also thought about letting them go crazy with their shoe color choices. But my mom says I am too much of a control freak for that. :)
I'm doing long black dresses in May! I haven't decided on jewelry yet, but they are wearing whatever shoes they want, and they bouquets will be pink peonies & roses and other pink flowers.
We're doing long black dresses in October. Have you found the dresses yet? A good summery, bright color would be great for an accent to warm up the black.

My cousin had her BMs in black dresses in August. It looked really great! They had hot pink sashes, and pink flowers. It was gorgeous.
Black dresses here, too! We're using teal and silver (like stainless steel) as our accent colors. Mom mom went to a wedding where each girl had a different color wrap to go with her black dress, but (like you?) I'm too much of a control freak! :)
Another August bride with long black dresses here too! We're doing hot pink and soft lime green flowers.
I've seen photos before where girls wore black dresses and each girl wore a different bright colored shoe and I always thought it was so cute. They had colors like hot pink, yellow, kelly green, etc.

I was in an August weddinga a few summers ago and we wore black T-length dresses with ivory sashes (the bride's dress was ivory too). We carried hot pink and baby pink roses wrapped with ivory satin ribbon. We were all given pearl earrings and necklaces to wear as well.
The black looked incredibly classy and the shorter length gave us a little relief from the August heat!

Hello! My wedding is in April and we are using black bridesmaids dresses. My main goal for the BM dresses was to pick something that was flattering on all of my girls and not the typical BM dress. We went to White House Black Market and found a huge selection of really cute ones. I am attached the one we chose... Which looks perfect on all the girls, plus they all said they could see themselves wearing it again... If you havent already purchased yours BM dresses and you want black.. definitely check out that store!!

My BMs are wearing black satin for my November wedding. I let them choose the style, but have them wear burgandy sashes. They're each going to carry a smaller version of my bouquet - different shades of red roses, topped with either stephanotis or lillies of the valley, and rhinestone pins in each flower.
I wore black cocktail dresses in two of the weddings I was in last year. In the August wedding, we all wore these gorgeous floral satin peep-toe pumps. All of the bridesmaids and female guests loved them! So fun!

HI!
I am getting married in August and I am having a very elegany wedding. I have always liked black and tried so hard to find a color that I like to avoid black in August. I have just decided on black..FINALLY, Any tips? I am thinking of bright hot pink or deep purple floral. I am going to do a sash (belt) also. I am thinking of makingeach of my girls some type of jeweled/beaded belt with pink in it.....Any ideas??
