My girls wore black for their dresses and everyone commented on how classy the look was.
Black is timeless and the flowers will look GREAT with it :)
I personally love black bridesmaids dresses, I think they are very classy and timeless. If you want to add the pink, you could always do a hot pink sash or something. Then you could have the best of both!
Yay! I love your colors, very similar to mine. I wanted a black dress with a green sash, but i'm in the same boat as far as girls sizes. I found this dress and it was sooooo perfect. You can't tell in the picture, but there is some fun bling on the top. The ruching is really flattering and my bright green flowers (your pink ones) will look great against the black. I decided that the black was timeless and the flowers would be that pop of color.

i am doing black i i think its versaitle and can be worn again!!!
My BMs are all wearing black dresses - everything is black and white in our wedding, with a cobalt blue accent colour. I think black dresses will mean they might actually wear them again, whereas with pink that might be less likely.
I'm going with black dresses! They are flattering and timeless!
i'm a color fan, so i'd rather have pink. but if you are happy with black, i'd do that for the reasons that you've already said.
I love the black dresses with the hot pink bouquets. Total win!
Black is timeless.... Can you imagine Audrey Hepburn wearing a hot pink dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's? Black is a total "DO"!
If you are wary of all black, you could get a black dress with a pink sash or accent. But I think that all black dresses look very classy for a wedding, especially against hot pink flowers.
I think black bridesmaids dresses look great!
We're doing black dresses- they are definitely classy and gorgeous! Since my wedding is in the winter, we're doing purple pashminas as an accent- for the summer, pink flowers or some other accent will look great!
Total DO!! I did black bridesmaids dresses and they looked gorgeous and elegant. And best of all, all the girls felt totally comfortable wearing them. I been in 2 weddings where we wore pink bridesmaids dresses...eesh, they were not flattering on everyone. Also, if you go for pink bm dresses through a 'traditional' BM retailer like Dessy or Alfred Angelo, it is tough to find a very good quality dress at a decent price. However, you can find amazing black dresses at the same price at Nordstroms, Bluefly, Saks, etc that your girls can definitely wear again!
My mom hates them and even thinks it's rude to wear black to a wedding (must be generational thing!) but i think it is a very classic and elegant look and love it!
Black is great! Hot pink dresses is tough to pull off. I've seen it, but it really is an INTENSE color to wear. I love the idea of black dresses, hot pink shoes, and hot pink bouquets. Black is really flattering, too. And timeless. And classic. Cannot go wrong.
Total DO...I'm having black/fuschia as my colors too. Bridesmaids will wear black and the flower girls will wear fuschia.
Our colors were black, white and yellow. My MOH wore black and she looked amazing...it's such a flattering color and if it's a style your girls like they can always wear it again! Who doesn't have use for a cute LBD?
I just love Black...and Black with Fuschia/Hot Pink is even better. Black looks great on all shapes and sizes (see pics below) and the Pink is a great "pop" in photos. Good Luck!
I love black bridesmaid dresses, but I may be biased as my girls wore black :)

Thanks so much for everyone's feedback!! This helps a lot! I feel a lot better about doing black dresses! Black it is!
I love black bridesmaids' dresses. I went to a wedding last summer where the BMs wore black and carried purple. It was gorgeous :)
I think black is great! That was my first choice because the BM dresses that I originally picked didn't have slate. My mom however, was VERY against it and made me change my mind...I wish I didn't. I ended up chosing a different style and picked slate over black :(
Yay for black dresses!! I love this idea because black is completely re-wearable. I was a co-MOH in my best friend's wedding and we got to wear black and the other girls wore slightly different dresses. I secretly liked ours better... :)

My wedding is in June of next year, and my colors are black and pink. Most of my girls are at least a size 10 or more. I have one size 0. I thought black would be most flattering and look really cute with hot pink bouquets...but I'm still not 100% sold on black dresses in a wedding. I love the idea of hot pink dresses, but I thought black would be easier to find a discount and it would serve as a dress she could wear again.
