sarah.ellis.94801: I wanted black diamond too, but then I realized that natural, unenhanced black diamonds are crazy hard (and crazy expensive) to source. They also typically come in rose cut because how light reflects in the black.

When I was looking, amazon had some great (though enhanced) options. Hope that helps.

sarah.ellis.94801:  Hi! I went through Eric Stein on etsy. I know he has a three carat (we got a two carat). He is wonderful and the ring is gorgeous. Can’t upload a photo from work but we got a cushion cut with a white diamond halo and white diamonds on the band and the price was very reasonable – I think around $1750. Good luck!

mreject:  Your rings are gorgeous! Can I ask you how your experience was with dazzlingrock.com? I’ve been eyeing up a band on their website for months. 🙂

I know that Zales has black diamonds that large, but I think they only sell them in like, one solitaire setting?

Though I’m sure they could probably set it in whatever you wanted if you talked to a person.

lavenderstone: Thank you! They were great to me. I had ordered the wrong band and they gladly took it back and I would order from them. Prices are great and they have unique bands that you can’t find anywhere else.

I have one just over 2ct, from Rogers. They ordered the sizes I wanted to see and I picked the one I wanted, since they all face up slightly different depending on cut. Picking one I could see into instead of flat black was also important to me, which you cant do online. I also found a band there that fits pretty good to the curve of mine even though we added a halo to the original setting that had no matching band.  DO NOT go to zales unless you can see them in the store, we ordered 3 or 4…i cant remember now, all had chips or cuts in the stone! It was a horrible hastle to get them returned before geting a new one ordered only to get another low quality piece. Good luck finding the ring of your dreams! I know I am still in love with mine.

I just wanted to say I to wanted a black diamond too.  But, when I ordered one and it arrived to the house  it was gunmetal grey.  It wasen’t cheap either!  I agree that seeing on is important if possible.  Many people say they order from Etsy.  But, there is also a site to order black sapphires from if your interested in that you can message me.
