hatehatehatehatehate Black Friday! You are way braver than I am. Please don't get trampled like that poor man last year.
Ill be going but Im not doing any door-busters. Last year we went to Target in the afternoon and got some super cheap DVD's and other small stuff. Well be going in the afternoon to Target and Best Buy to scoop us some DVDs (Entourage all seasons are only $9.99 so we will be getting a couple to add to my dads gift)
I'm working. We don't have sales, but there's a Target, a Kohl's, an Office Max and a Walmart all near us, so it's going to be CHAOS. Not looking forward to that mess at ALL.
i'm in canada so i won't be, but i am kinda jealous!!! i am counting down the days to boxing day shopping :)
I'm a huge fan of online Christmas shopping. Crowds and lines make me borderline homicidal.
headed to the outlet malls. i've been wanting some clothes for a while and now i have the excuse especially because I'll be with my family. We may get some blu-ray dvds while we're out since we just bought ourselves a player.
i like deals, but i won't be getting up at 3 am to get them!
I'm on the other side of Black Friday: the one working at a store that opens at midnight. I work at a Disney Store and Black Friday is my favorite day to work. Usually shoppers in my store are happy and excited about all the great deals they hope to get that day!
As a hard working single mom (I am 100 percent financially independent and don't have T pay for anything..well until we're married) and pinch pennies and am proud of it! Last year I saved HALF of the toy expenses I got for my son and am thrilled at that! I'm also going looking for an evening dress for the 11th of december. It's kinda an important night out..wink wink!!!
Thanks to all bees who work in retail that day. We appreciate you helping us!
I've lucked out and done some pre black Friday sales online... I MIGHT brave the stores on Friday, but not sure!! I live in LA and the stores are always packed as is, so I don't know how nutso it's going to be! I went to Ross last night specifically to avoid the lines.. and I still waited 25 minutes in line! Wowza!!
I agree with Bellenga.. Thank you to all the retail bees! You gals are awesome!
@bellenga - I hear that. I think once we have a house and kids I'll most likely have to get over my Black Friday phobia.
Alright ladies work is officially over for the day! Yippeeeeee! I'll probably pop back on later once I get home. I've decided I'm going to try to brave Target but it's on my way home so if it looks like a hot mess up in there I'm not gonna bother.
Edit: whoops this was supposed to be on the chat thread. It's shopping related, though. Sort of. My bad :)
Leftover pie with my fingers, LOL
Anybody remember "peanut butter fingers" from Friends? Joey suggested them as an "appetizer" option to Monica....=]
I went once and ill NEVER do it again! No sale is worth getting in that mess for. I would much rather be sitting at home with my family.
My mom and I will be at Target at 4am...WOOOHOOO
This will be our tenth year of BF shopping!
We are going to try out the online Black Friday sale for Best Buy starting tonight at 11 pm (for us west coasters; it really starts at 2 am Thanksgiving day, eastern time). If we can't get as great of a deal on our new lcd tv, though, we might be willing to brave Black Friday lines. We'll see...
And LOL! to ejs. I love that episode!
I'm going out and braving the storm...only because we have twins and nieces/nephews we buy for, just built a house, and are on a budget w/ the wedding coming up. Last year I was able to buy for the whole family well under what I budgeted in my Xmas shopping account, and got all the gifts needed in 3 hours time...to me, that is worth it, because we were able to put some money aside, and buy a few extras.
I've been shopping on black friday, but never at 4 am or whatever time the sales actually start. I imagine it's crazy though. Also, I'm not organized enough yet to know what I want to get for everyone.
I go black friday shopping! I'm not a 4 a.m. person though. I usually leave the house around 7 a.m. because the stuff I buy (mostly clothes) is never really a doorbuster sale. I find if you get to the mall around 8-ish, there's still plenty of stuff to go around. Even at Target late in the afternoon, there's tons of stuff left! It's just usually the electronics get taken first.

Just wondering how many of you ladies are planning on shopping on Friday? I've actually never gone before and I don't know many people who do. I can't stand crowds, Malls, lines and annoying "door-buster" sales. I never understood waking up at 3am to stand on line outside in the cold waiting for Kohl's to open.
This year will be my 1st with FI's family. We're going to his Aunt's house at the Jersey Shore & then on Friday everyone goes to the outlets. Apparently it's not that bad cuz - well, who's at the Jersey shore in November, right? Not gonna lie - I'm kinda scared - haha. So who else is planning on braving the crowds on Friday?
