NO not for me! I went last year, Ill admit I got two really cute pairs of boots at bloomindales. I wont do it again though! I just can not deal with crowds like that. I get overwhelmed with people throwing stuff everywhere, my patience is limited.
Just thinking about going shopping on Black Friday stresses me out. SistahChips and I joke around, "So I'll pick you up at 4 a.m.?" "4? Better make it 3:30." We can't handle it, not even a little.
I will be out at about 3:30 or so maybe a bit closer to 4 to wait in line for the Nintendo DS's at Wal-mart... My son and M's daughter both have requested it and it's only like 98 bucks, so that's a kepper lol!!! I'll be armed with a cup of coffee!
My mom & I got up early for Black Friday 5 years ago and at our first stop witnessed two women get into an all out brawl over a doll. It was something straight out of a bad COPS episode. One of them bit the other so badly she required multiple stitches (my mom works at the hospital she was taken to and heard the aftermath stories on Monday afterwards). It was insane....so now it's the yearly joke of Black Friday bringing out the Vampire shoppers so we stay home! ;)
I'm all over Black Friday sales. Not crazy early, but plan to leave around 7am and see where I get.
Also, Ms Mouse...so strange to see San Marcos in Texas...there's a San Marcos here in in CA too!
Not me! Mom and I are spending the day at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Lots of shopping, but no early morning wake-up call *shudder*
@ggsb... serioiusly? That is nuts, what is wrong with people! Over a doll? Come on now. Exactly why i do not do black friday sales. Sitting at home relaxing is more my style.
We went the past two years, but we are both getting sick and we are out of patience for the shopping, so we aren't going this year. Everytime we go we feel like the deals we get just aren't worth the lack of sleep.
I'll be... working. At the bookstore, so it's not like we're going to have any huge rush other than the cranky coffee crowd!
Is Pottery Barn having a good sale, Mouse? Mr. Parfait and I can't decide what to do for Black Friday--we're still checking the ads for good deals!
@mouse- I love those outlets in san marcos!!! i live in san antone and I drive up there whenever i can.
Im not gonna be doing any crazy shopping this year, but I would if i could!!
I saw that Sears has like 4 sets per store of really decent washer/dryers for $500 (for the set!!!) as doorbusters. OH MANNNNN I want so bad! Alas, I cannot do crowds, nor waiting in line to get into a store. Of course that means, another few years of coin op for me. I mean if I really rationalize it, it's ridiculous that I can't fight crowds for a few hours of my life in order to afford me the luxury to do laundry in my own home. Hmm... maybe I will go...
No, probably not :)

My mom and I are thinking about driving to San Marcos (about a half hour from Austin) at midnight tomorrow for the Pottery Barn Outlet sale. I'm pretty excited. Anyone else have crazy shopping plans this Friday?
