I have a Black Friday goal: get FI out of his retail job before then. Black Friday is his birthday and getting up at 3AM to work a 12 hour shift dealing with hordes of impatient customers sounds like a super crappy way to spend your birthday. There are one or two things I may want to buy on Black Friday depending on the deals to be had, but I usually spend the day hiding at home baking cookies.

I’m gonna be out of the country 🙁

Are online deals as good as in person?

@LadyBlackheart:  I shall be crossing the border to partake, unless anyone will let me ship all of my crap to their American address 😛

@LadyBlackheart:  He’s been having a miserable time at work lately, so we’ve been on the job hunt. Some really good postings came up this week. I have my fingers crossed.

@MrsPanda99:  Yay for cross border shopping! I’m going with my mom, to Buffalo or somewhere else in upstate NY for the Black Friday deals. The men don’t want to have anything to do with it, which is fine by me! Last year my dad came with us and he whined the whole time. 😀

I really really want a GoPro camera – i’m hoping I can find an online deal! I’m not willing to do the stampede crazy crowd thing in person, though. I’d rather pay full price, haha.

I could never!! So many crowds!! Plus the border will be packed so I would never be able to get over to the States anyways lol

@musical-lady:  But if they don’t come, who will pay? 😀 Totally kidding.

My sister is pregnant with twins and a complainer at the best of time. I’d rather not go with her. MrPanda99 is big and can push his way through crowds. I like him as my barricade, lol.

@LadyBlackheart:  Road trip! Le sigh. I need to move to the States. You have lower taxes, cheaper houses, private health care, better products, cheaper prices for better products, cheaper gas prices…why am I still here? Oh, yeah…you have no jobs for me 😛

my husband works at wal-mart. he LOVES thanksgiving/black friday. it’s his favorite time of year. he has so much fun and loves making customers happy.

i like to go shopping friday morning when i get off work. i love the stores actually being open that early!

i’m hoping to buy winter coats this year. we don’t have any (we live in minnesota, so that sucks).

@Eckle:  omg the best part of not working retail anymore is not having to get up and work Black Fucking Friday.

I have never been BF shopping. I’ve always had to work–even at my current job, we’re open for part of the day WTF. I’m hoping that DH can get it off, but I’m not sure if where he works does mandatory shifts (our old job did).
