    Morning Bees,

I was just interested to see how many bee's would be out on black friday during the madness. I was looking at all of the ad's online and I can't seem to find anything that is worth me breaking my neck to get out there and go (normally I'm out there at 4:00am with 1/2 of my stuff on my list done) plus this year we will be out of town with the FH (well will be hubby then) family, which should be super fun cause I've never been there before.. So no need to even go shopping... Well maybe.. I mean what old fashion black friday shopper wouldn't love to catch ONE deal.. HMMM Maybe I will shop online and use everyone's free shipping deals ..... :)

What are your black friday plans??

Coming home and sleeping - I am working Thanksgiving night.

I should add that I never shop on Black Friday anyways.  I get claustrophobic when the malls/stores are crowded for normal holiday shopping.  I can't imagine how I'd feel on Black Friday.

I never go shopping on Black Friday.  We usually have overnight Thanksgiving guests so we party late into the night on Thursday.  Black Friday morning is reserved for sleeping late and having pie and leftovers for breakfast with everyone.  :)

I didn't go to the stores last year for black Friday, but I did find some good deals online!  I think I will skip the crowds and just do the same thing this year!

We might. We just moved into a new house, so we are (hopefully) on the hunt for a washer/dryer.  Anyone see any good black friday deals on those?

I will be sleeping. I usually find some great deals online anyway.

@pengoala: I went to Sears last year. They had an awesome deal. I was one of the first in line. I waited for over an hour in Wisconsin, it was seriously below 30 degrees. Right before they opened the manager came to our line and announced those items were sold out. I asked how, I had been the for ever and apparently there was a sign on the door, being blocked by others, that you had to go to a side door. I was so mad. The people around me almost started a riot. I haven't shopped at Sears since, but they usually do have great appliance sales.

I might go this year. I make a list of what I need from each store, grab those items and get home. People mistake it for a day of leisurely shopping, big mistake. Get the good deal and leave.

I'm pumped about it. Mom and I always go out on Black Friday. This year I think I'll be looking for Battlefield 3 for DH and maybe a little something for some other people on my list :).

MissPumpkinPie - It's a adrenaline rush to me, but I guess this year will be my 1st thanksgiving being married so I should switch it up a bit ;)

BayStateBride - I like that idea..

Lolasmomma - I was out there in it last year and several years before. Last year wasn't too bad because I went to all of the smaller stores 1st and then hit the bigger stores last, less of a crowd and most of the stuff I wanted wasn't anything that people were rushing in for (TV's Computers. Gaming Systems etc.)

pengoala- I surely did see some. Check bfads.net or Blackfriday.net they have started putting them up already so you can get your early plan on ;)

heartnerds - aww that sucks :(

LGenz- I will probably be sleeping as well, however his mom is a shopaholic so she might be out shopping if so I will probably be with her ;)

mrskesslertobe- that's exactly what I did last year and I was done everything by 9:00am :)

jo.lee - Wal-mart has that game at wal-mart on Black Friday for $20.00 I believe.

I really don't do Black Friday, but this year maybe I'll give it a whirl? The last time I went was probably 4 years ago. This year I have a lot of good stuff scoped out online too so we'll see. What I might do is take my daughter shopping in the early evening and then have a girl's dinner just the two of us.

I don't do Black Friday. I don't think it's worth it unless you are buying big appliances and saving a bare minimum of $300+.

This year we are in the market for new kitchen appliances. So if the models we want are on ridic sale I'll be getting up. Otherwise, heck no.

I'll be out there most likely - most of the big stores are opening at midnight this year, which means I have no idea what time to get in line! The Walmart ad is intriguing for me with quite a few items, but honestly, Black Friday is more for personal/home shopping for me, rather than for gifts for other people... I'm already almost done my Christmas shopping!

I've hit Best Buy the last few years for Black Friday. I've had a lot of luck so far. I get most of my Christmas shopping done, and I've got some really good deals. I have to wait and see what's on my family's wish lists this year, but I'll most likely be heading back to good ol' best buy again this year!

The only reason we went anywhere today was to pick up my paycheck and get food for the animals. Just watching people in stores and seeing parking lots full of crazy people was enough.

It's too dangerous. People are insane.

@Rachael432: I wonder what the differences are based on area! My first and only (until now) BF experience was when I was a young teen and went to a mall in PA. I lasted about 15 minutes before I gave up--it was SO crowded and felt dangerous, like you said.

I live in Denver and decided to go this year as a friend of mine loves to go and had no one to go with her this year. I was terrified it was going to be a mob, but people were perectly nice. We showed up at 10pm at Walmart and I stood in line for a $200 laptop for my SO. Around 11pm, the employees handed out numbered tickets... once midnight came around, everyone just walked in order very calmly to the desk and paid for the laptop. I've heard of RIOTS in other places.

I even went out today to the shops in downtown Denver and it was really quiet. A little more traffic than usual, but no mobs or angry crowds.

I'm just going to tell myself that Denver is just awesome, hahaah :)
