I'm wearing black shoes (even though it's not even one of our "colors") because they happen to be the most comfortable ones I can find! From what I hear, nobody ever sees your shoes anyway...
I'd go with a lighter colored shoe. Can you post a pic of your dress and the shoes you want to wear?
I also think you can wear any shoe color. Some people have really dark red or blue so I don't see what difference it is to have black! It's your day you can choose :)
I rocked a black dress and a black shrug, so no, it's not "too much black". Photos here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/our-intimate-elegant-lovely-affair-teaser-pics
Black would look nice, but I agree you can wear whatever colour you want to.
BLACK IS FINE and probably great to rewear. I don't picture myself rewearing an ivory or white shoe, unless it's dyed another color. My shoes are burgundy until about the arch of the shoe and fade to black by the heel... SEXY! I actually owned the shoes years before the wedding and they fit PERFECT with our colors.
black is fine- I'm planning on wearing a pair of black heels I already have- they're broken in, a good height, and no one is going to be looking at my feet, anyway. (although I'm still getting a pedi!)
Go with the black! I think it will look nice since you have black elsewhere. Also, you could always embellish a black shoe with white pearls or something.

Is black shoes with a black sash too much?
My dress is a light ivory colour with flowing layers of chiffon on the bottom half. My girls are wearing black and I really liked when the black sash was tied on my dress when trying it on for the first time. I'm trying to decide if black or white shoes are the better choice.
