The Offbeat Bride website has a tag for black wedding dresses. You could probably find some inspiration there!

My favorite that I've seen is this one:

The bride looks beautiful in that black dress, and the bright blue accents stand out really pretty :)
Good luck in your gown search! :)
Here are a bunch of brides who wore black dresses:

I also saw this, which I loved. I think it might be Cymbeline Paris, 2008, but I'm not sure. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/blueorchiddesigns/Picture8-2.png
Dolly couture, I'm pretty sure, can make any dress/ custom design out of black satin- she has a 2 piece dress that has a tea length skirt or a floor length one. But, I'm sure if you email her, she can do anything you want!
I love this dress by Jovani, but I don't happen to go to very many formal events that would justify me buying it. :(

Thanks for the input thus far guys! :)
I actually found one Cymeline dress that I like, and will look into that one: http://www.cymbelineusa.com/emailImage.aspx?imagename=83_creole.jpg and I wish this came in black, hah!: http://www.cymbelineusa.com/emailImage.aspx?imagename=85_bruand.jpg
I'm a member of OffBeat bride, but I haven't seen a black wedding dress on there yet that really makes go OOh neat! There are about 80 bagillion white dresses out there that I wish could be plunged into a vat of black dye- it's frustrating, to see a dress and go wow I wonder if it comes in black- oh wait, of course it doesn't, lol
A dress like this, in hot pink and black, would be amazing if it was more artfully done and used better fabric: http://www.quinceaneracollection.com/ukaz_front_back.php?saty=2591002&sezona=Spring%202009
But I'm so paranoid about having a dress custom made- I've had a lot of outfits custom made in the past for special events, and when the person really gets your idea of the perfect piece, then the piece is amazing, but when they don't get it, well, I've had some terrible custom jobs that just didn't turn out at all like they were supposed to :/ Though I did find that selecting the fabric myself from huge fabric warehouses somewhat guaranteed the fabric quality that I wanted, but still, some things are just lost in translation, you know?
I saw this dress at group USA in Virginia last summer, I believe. Not sure if they still have it, but it's oh so pretty!
sigh.. I fail at uploading pictures. just PM me if you want to see pics and I'll email them to you. =P
I just saw this dress a couple hours ago and thought how pretty it was.
It's not completely black but pretty. :)
It's Sophia Tolli. Style <span class="CollectionProductDetail_Description">Y2952 Analisa
Wow that black Cymbeline dress is amazing! I would def look into that if I were you. Wow. lol I wish that came in white lol
My BM dresses could definitely be a wedding dress. We got them in black and they're being altered to trumpet shape. It has poof and a small train. Check it out: http://watters.com/product.php?style=9250
How pretty!! I love that dress.
I saw this other one. Not sure who the designer is.
I saw this dress the other day and it's been on my mind ever since. Unfortunately, it falls in the prom dress category. I think you can order different underlay colors, like pink maybe? Check it out: http://www.sherrihill.com/dresses/Sherri_Hill_2022_black.htm
The Brides Cafe just did a Watters feature today. the black one with sweetheart neckline is classy and beautiful! (not sure what silhouette it is though)
I think some places CAN dye dresses! Our flower girl dresses were dyed ivory.... not exactly the same as black, or a wedding dress, but look into it!
The Watters dresses are a good possibility, thank you!!
I'm going to also research the dress dying possibility, I have a feeling that it could be done on simple dresses, but more elaborate ones, it would probably be difficult to get the seams/ruffles dyed perfectly, I don't know, hah I need to dig around some! :)
This one isn't very formal or ball gown like but black and pink and very pretty. Maybe a reception dress.

Once again not very ball gown like but pretty.
Just some stuff I saw while browsing through Amazon
Wow, I *love* the Cymeline dress!
No real suggestions, though. :)
In love with that Sophia Tolli! Please show us whatever you decide on, I'm intrigued!
I'm wearing black too! I look horrible in white so it was out right away. I got my dress from UniqueVintage.com. Mine is tea length and has white polka dots. I'm not sure if they have ballgown styles but you could check!
Good luck!
Take a look at www.jordanfashions.com They have beautiful dresses in a few of their collections and almost all of them come in black. Good luck!
Responding to JennyCV:
It just occurred to me who made that dress, hah- the bride designed the dress herself, and Starkers made the corset for her. I LOVE my Starker's corsets, she does amazing work and she's great to work with, highly recommend her! The things will really cinch you up, lol

Hi guys, I know I'm pretty new around here, but I could really use some dress help!
I need help finding a black wedding dress, but a nice one! Our wedding is going to be fairly casual and the opposite of traditional, and black will fit perfectly (plus it's it will be between Halloween and the Day of the Dead). Something ballroom gown-ish with some poof or ruffles. It's going to be a really funky/odd wedding- I have stark white skin and black hair, and eclectic taste, so the colors I'm wearing that day will either be black and lime green or black and hot pink (I have an insane, elaborate head piece with a birdcage veil selected, plus giant vintage rhinestone earrings and necklaces- it's crazy! I'm wearing a cropped black kimono sleeve cargo jacket with the dress) The problem is, the only elaborate black dresses I find are prom dresses (actually, most of what I've found are Quinceanera dresses!), and most of them look somewhat teen-ish. I'm 24, so I can pull off some styles, but a lot of what I'm finding almost leans towards cheap looking. I tend to like halter dresses, but I'm not being picky at this point, hah! If anyone has any links to good websites, I'd love to see them! :) I'm beginning to wonder if the black wedding dress even exists, hah! Thank you!
