theEguarantee: I think he should get to pick his tux. Gray still matches.

theEguarantee: Dark gray would be lovely with your color scheme!! Light gray, not so much….

Another thought: you’re in a different color than the bridesmaids, so he could be in a different color from the groomsmen.

I say get him a darker grey than that pic above and have the others in black. It will look fine.

Those are my colors too with pinks added and I wanted FI to wear a dark charcoal grey but he wants to wear black. The grey and ivory with plums would look awesome!

If he hardly has any opinions about the wedding and this is the one thing he wants, then I say let him wear the dark grey tux. Not worth upsetting him!

I’m also guessing you won’t be standing next to any major decor items for your photos, so it is okay if his suit doesn’t match the rest of the colour pallete exactly. Grey and champagne will still go together.

I don’t see any issue with gold and grey together. I think grey will fit into the color scheme well. Too matchy-matchy always looks worse in my opinion, anyway.

To be honest, I think the grey would look really classy with your colour combo, you already have black in the colour scheme and I tend to see grey as just a lighter version of black.

It will be a superbly classy mix of colours, and I think the grey will surprise you and many guests with how well it compliments the rest of your colour scheme.

It’s going to look better than black, in all likelihood.

theEguarantee: That picture looks pretty sharp! I think it’s best to let him choose anyways. You wouldn’t want him forbidding your dream dress or choosing your accessories, would you?

theEguarantee: Ivory doesn’t match any more than gray does. How would you feel if he asked you to change your dress color? Let the guy wear what he wants to his own wedding.

How are you incorporating the gold color into your wedding?
