Blah. I feel fat.
Right now I weigh 155 and I’m 5’2″ with a athletic/large frame.
I eat generally healthy and I rarely snack. I probably have a glass of wine every other day or a few beers on the weekend so I do drink. I’d say I’m moderately active – I ride my bike to work (2 miles/way) about 4 days a week and I go to the gym 3x/week for about 1/2 hr each time – I’ve had this exercise routine since August. So I’m not a complete slug. I feel like my butt/thighs have slimmed down, but my tummy area is bulging (no…I’m not preggers). Maybe I’m retaining water?
So at the very least I should have maintained my weight of 145 (what I weighed in August)…I’m not sure why I’m gaining weight.
Poo! I’m feeling blah. Pity party for me! Anyone else relate?

I can relate, but I know why I gained weight… the holidays! I have a few thoughts though – are you sleeping enough? Not getting 7 1/2-8 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night means that you can’t go through all the sleep cycles enough times, which are vital for health, and it really messes with your body. One of the quickest ways to gain weight without changing anything is simply not sleeping enough. You could always be eating too many salty foods/artificial sweeteners, too. Those both cause bloating.
I know thyroid problems can cause unexpected weight gain, too, so at your next doctor’s appointment, you may want to mention it.

I agree, if you’re doing all the “right” things and still gaining, there could be a hormonal issue. Get a panel by your doc
