My hair is straight (with a funky kinky thing at the bottom) and flat. and gets greasy fast. Any tips or help?!

What is your end goal that you want to accomplish?

Be sure not to put any conditioner at the top of the head and shampoo with a clarifying shampoo.  You can also shampoo the morning of your big day to prevent excess grease

My hair is very straight and greasy too. Just go easy on the styling products and if you do use any, use a cream and only a SMALL amount, only on the tips.

Do not wash your hair on your wedding day! I hate when people come in with unwashed hair. Try a dry shampoo. I like BedHeads Dirty Little Secret. If you have lighter hair, baby powder also works. Do you wear your hair in a ponytail all the time? If so that is what the kink is from. I'm sure its not as bad as you think!

You might want to try some sort of volumizing mousse. I know my hair is fine and if I don't use a volumizer, it's totally flat by the end of the day. However, if your hair is also a little greasy, you don't want to use a wax or gel.  I really like this, even though it's a bit spendy:

I use constarch on my bangs and short pieces to keep the greasies away!

I have fine hair so it gets greasy too pretty easily, especially my bangs. I was using baby powder and dusted it on the roots (dry shampoo works great too) if needed. I personally don't like using many hair products because I have a sensitive scalp but lately I've been using clarifying shampoo 2-3 times a week and when I use my normal shampoo I really massage it into my scalp and leave it on for several minutes (abut 5 or so) to make sure it really dissolves any oil and product buildup--it's been working well.
