i’ve had this, it’s called breakthrough bleeding, or ovulation bleeding.  I don’t normally get that, but it happens.

I think I have experienced something similar. I had my period this week, but it only lasted two days-two very heavy days. Then nothing for two days, and now I’m back to spotting lightly. So very strange, as I have never had this either so I guess I read what others say. I’m only on CD 5 I think, so not near FW yet.

@lastlastfirst:  it most definitely can ! I had it on and off for almost 2 weeks. I have a thread about it too Because it worried me.  I called my gyno and he said its normal but if it happens consecutively to come in for a check up.  A cycle here an there is nothing to worry a out.

With th that being said it definitely sucked having the spotting and then a week or two later a real period. Uhk.

@lastlastfirst:  Bleeding happened on CD17 for me this month, and I haven’t had that happen before – it was during what was supposed to be my FW also, it actually interrupted our BD!!  I’m really hoping it was ovulation bleeding.. But I totally get what you mean about how annoying it is to have happen during potential conception time.. 🙁  I don’t now what to tell you about fertility with breakthrough bleeding – FX that things turn out well for you!

@lastlastfirst:  I had spotting for several days before and after my period. I dealt with it for several cycles.  As annoying as this sounds… if the issue continues, I highly recommend going to the doctor while you are spotting.  I went once when I wasn’t and they just did some blood work, and I got no answers. The next time I went, I was spotting and they saw that I had  bleeding blood vessel on my cervix that they cauterized. I got pregnant the next cycle.  I’m not sure if that was just a fluke.  I’m glad I went during the spotting or else they probably wouldn’t have figured out what the problem was.
