Would you be open to purple or blue? I ask this because I have nails that are discolored thanks to psoriasis, and sometimes they black out. Purples work well I’m wearing a lavender right now. You might also want to try something with a metallic sheen like a metallic soft peachy pink. I’ve had luck with that too.

Jaanat:  You could also try doing some glitter at the bottom… gold may cover more and I would do a thicker coat than in the picture.

I know that putting a layer of opaque white nail polish under neon colors helps the color look more vivid… maybe you could use the same trick to cover the bruise before putting on the pale pink?

not speaking from experience because i don’t know but would perhaps shellac or gel cover it better??

also: why not pop into a nail salon and ask their thoughts? they should be pretty well educated on that stuff! good luck 🙂 and ouch!!

Jaanat:  what does lipstick have to do with nail polish? since when does your lipstick have to coordinate with nails? if that’s the case, then purple nails would mean purple lips. and blue nails would mean blue lips.

wear whatever color you want on your lips. doesn’t matter one bit whether it “goes” with the nail polish.

What color is your wedding? I love when brides match their nails to their flowers!!

You could also try a glitter or metallic in silver, gold, rose gold, or your wedding colors.

rubysparks:  that’s exactly what I was going to suggest. I did the same thing for my own wedding when I had a (darker than OPs) purple blemish on my big toe from stubbing my foot. It works!

rubysparks:  I agree!

Try using a layer of opaque white or opaque nude under the color you want to use!  I use a layer of nude under my nail polish all the time because the white tips of my nails are unusually long compared to the pink area.

I think you can wear whatever lipstick you want. I’m currently trying to find nail ideas. I’m leaning towards a light purple right now but I may go dark :/

Jaanat:  This base coat should cover up the blemish and look good under the pale blue you chose
