Well, I purchased my new traditional dres through the David's Bridal Outlet.  I know a lot of my fellow bees were encouraging me to keep my old dress, but this one really feels right.  I know it will make Dad happier to see me in this than my original dark red dress.

I was really hesitant to order my dress online, but it wasn't  available in the store to try on.  I tried on one in a similar style and liked the shape.  I kept coming back to this dress, though.  I think it was the jacket, which is adorable.

    Anyways, here's the dress.

I'll still add my own flair.  I am going to make/buy a black birdcage veil and black jewelry.  I know I'll need some pouf at the bottom.  I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy an A-line slip and dye it black, or just ask my seamstress to add some tiers of stiff black tulle to one of my underskirts (I have two under the dress).  Not sure which would be the less expensive way to go yet.  The dress has great boning so I know it will create killer hourglass shape.  It's not so noticeable in the pics because the waist and bust weren't clipped back.

I know FI will love this because he is all about the vintage pin-up look Cool

Now I just need to find the right bustier.  Any plus size gals know where to get a good one with a lower back?  The ones I tried at David's peeked about 1/2"-1" above the back of my dress.  I'd like to take the jacket off if I wanted to.

Even the DSW gods were smiling on me.  I found a great pair of shoes in the exact same shade of ivory.  They have this adorable ruffle trim on the side.  I walked with these babies for $10.

Edit: Holy *(*&$.  Sorry about the huge pics.

Very nice! I think it would look awesome with a sash as well.

That dress is so classic and pretty.  I can't wait to see th jewelry you pick with it.  I also am digging the shoes.

@kermie...Thank you so much for saying vintage.  That is exactly what I was hoping for.

@MaiFuture...You know, I had kicked around the idea of a black flower on the hip that could hide a pick-up for my skirt.  So itsead of a bustle, it would sweep off to the side.  Not sure about that yet.  I don't know if it would be too much black.

Here's a bad attempt to add in a black sash with flower.  Gotta love photoshop.

@Scottielass: Love it! if you think it is too much black (which I don't, but that may depenend on how prominate your black jewelry will be) you can maybe mix up the colors on the sash like this:
