I live in Buffalo and all weekend into yesterday our weather stations and the national weather service were warning of high winds and excessive rain fall. While we did get a lot of rain, luckily, it really wasn’t much of a wind storm and it seemed to of just missed us. They closed most of the schools in the Buffalo area last night even though, there really is no reason for anyting to be closed this morning. When I look at the pictures from my friends in the NYC area and NJ area I realize how LUCKY we are that the storm barely hit us. Just wanted to say I hope all the bees in those areas are SAFE!!!!

Glad you are safe and thinking of all the bees who are affected.

I’m in Toronto, and I managed to stay indoors most of last night. No power outage for me either, which wasn’t the case for a lot of people here. There was one fataility here however and I feel for that woman and her family.
Blessed to say I live in an area of the world that doesn’t see many natural disasters.

I’m in NE Ohio.. we’ve had awful winds & rain since yesterday afternoon. I lost power at 8:30pm last night. Luckily my parents had power so I went to their house for the night. I won’t lie, I’m a little bummed work has power today.
Hope everyone is doing ok.. my thoughts & prayers are with everyone on the East Coast!

I’m also in the Toronto area (just outside of Scarborough) and we had warnings of high winds and excessive rain fall however by mid-day yesterday they had said we’d only get the high winds, the excessive rain would miss us.
Last night my puppy wanted his bedtime walk at 10:30pm so I bundled up and out we went, it wasn’t raining but was it ever windy. There is a field and a forest area between some houses in our area and we usually walk around the field and back down the side of the forest but last night just walking past the field towards the other houses was tough, the wind was whipping out of the field and it was hard to stand up, my poor puppy who only weighs 22lbs was blown over from a wind gust!!
