Hey Bees! I’ve already posted a question about a sash for my dress, but I think I know what I want now, so I’d like to get some more feedback. My dress is lace with a small amount of scattered beading, and will be altered to a trumpet shape – much more fitted through the hips and upper thighs, with a flare starting above the knee. I’m thinking about this sash, but with the beading on the dress, I’m afraid it will clash and look like too much. What do you think?
Here is a picture of my dress with a champagne sash:
I wish I had some photoshop skills to see how it would look on my dress. Here are a couple other sashes with bling, but I really like the one in the first pic the best.
Any thoughts or advice are appreciated! 🙂

I actually think the sash would compliment it very well, like it will also bring out some of the sparkles in the lace.

Love the sash idea! Your dress looks wonderful on you. I like the champagne sash too.

I think the sash with bling looks lovely. I think something like the first two that pengoala posted would really pop! If you do go with the one you said you love I don’t think it will look too busy at all. I agree with what a PP said about it complimenting your dress.

Rock the sash in the first picture, girl!

I find the last one is the most flattering! I like the bling and it makes your waist look itty bitty (though that might have to do with it being the only unclipped dress).
@pengoala: WOW! LOVE THE FLOWER SASH! Omigoodness I’m gaudy!

I ordered my wedding dress (which is a Robin Jillian), and I knew I wanted a sparkly sash/belt with it. I had tried on an Essense of Australia dress with a beautiful belt. I told the girl at the bridal shop that I would love a belt like that with my dress. She instantly said “Let me call and see if I can order just the belt…” They let me! It is FULLY beaded and only $150.

I love the idea of a satin sash with bling…that way it compliments the dress and the lace without overdoing it—(ala Khole Kardashian!)
Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks everyone! There are so many beautiful sashes out there, I don’t know how to decide, especially since I can’t try it on my dress before I commit.
@ellelm: I know, I can’t seem to get past the pink look either! But my bridesmaids will most likely be in blush pink, so I don’t want it to all to be too color coordinated and matchy-matchy. Maybe I could get the seller on etsy to put the first sash on a blush colored organza sash? Then, you would only see a little bit of the pink in the front, and a pretty pink organza bow in the back!
@pengoala: Some of the sashes you posted are really pretty! I love the one with the flowers, but I’m afraid it will be too much for my simple taste. I love the last one too! For some reason, I prefer sashes that are solid bling (more like your last picture), rather than a satin sash with a blingy design (like your third picture).
@ashleywerner85: Wow, good for you! That’s the price point I’m hoping to stay below too! That sash is gorgeous!
