k, didn't know where to post this because I suppose it can go in either beauty or intimacy or general stuff so if it should be moved please move it!  :)

Anyway, the day after Christmas I had scheduled appointment for a facial and a bikini wax at Bliss spa.  I was super, super nervous because I've heard a million and one horror stories about waxing, etc.  I went in preparing for absolute insanity...  In fact, I brought along with me one of my anti-anxiety pills and a pain reliever.  However, I didn't take then right away bc the wax was scheduled AFTER the 1.5 hour facial.

Well, when the esthetician brought me back, she said "I saw you were scheduled for a wax so I figured we'd just get that over with!"

Surprised  ::gulp:: I think I nearly passed out.  She was very sweet though - I told her that I was a bikini waxing virgin and he was very helpful and nice.  I will admit it is awkward having someone working on your erm, parts, like that but she was talking to me the whole time which kept my mind off things and made me feel much more comfortable.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I was expecting excrutiating pain and...  IT WASN'T THAT BAD!  I mean, I wouldn't want to spend my typical Sunday doing that but it wasn't horribly horribly painful by any means.  I did their betweeny wax which is between the reg bikini and the fully monty Brazillian.  I fully intend to go Brazillian for the wedding/honeymoon just am working up to it!  To me, already it is WAY better than shaving.  So if you're afraid, I encourage you to give it a shot because you can always stop if it's too painful or you don't feel comfortable but you might be surprised with the process! :)

It was an excellent experience and she was very perceptive - with the wax out of the way I was able to relax and enjoy my facial :)

Thanks for sharing! I am also a waxing virgin (with exception of some bad self trials on the leg) and am nervous about getting it done for the wedding/honeymoon. I will suck it up too! Heard great things about Bliss waxing.

I use No Scream Cream [link below] it's a topical numbing cream that you apply an hour before your waxing, it's quite helpful for those who don't like the wax experience, just putting it out there! I was quite excited when  I found out about this miracle in a tube.
