Ok fitness Bees I need your help. How do you deal with blisters on your feet? I started to break in a new pair of sneakers and now have a huge blister on the bottom of my little toe. As you can imagine, it is very annoying.
I am a chef and have to be on my feet for long periods so unfortunately I have to keep wearing socks and shoes while it heals. Any tips Bees?

They create an artificial blister on top of your blister so it takes away all your pain and helps to heel them!!!!
I keep some in my purse at all times!

@FMM: Thanks I didn’t even know that they made those.

Medical tape! This is the kind I use, same concept as the blister bandaid but you get a lot of bang for your buck, and it stays PUT. I taped my feet up every run with this when breaking in a pair pf Asics, just make sure the blister is healed enough before you put it on (wouldn’t want it tearing the skin). I use this when breaking in heels too 🙂
Oh and you can get it at any drugstore

I would check and make sure your shoes fit your feet well… I have broken in about a million pairs of running shoes & very rarely do I get blisters at all.
If it’s not your shoes, try using a cotton blend moisture wicking sock. I like jox sox, but there are many brands & varieties available.
If all else fails, as PP mentioned you can use blister bandaids, or you can get a roll of moleskin & cut a piece off as you need it.

@DaneLady: I agree with this. Did you get them custom fitted at a running store? If not, I’d advise getting them checked out. I rarely ever get blisters with new running sneakers.
