I am 8 weeks along and I have been extremely bloated since about 4 weeks.  It is driving me crazy.  I haven't been able to comfortabley button my pants in weeks and no matter what I eat I always feel so bloated and full afterwards.  Does anyone know if this bloating goes away, and when?  Has anyone figured out ways to help with the bloated feeling?  I'm very thankful I haven't had to deal with ms, so I try not to complain too much.  I'm just hoping some of you out there has any suggestions or advice :)  thanks!

Don't worry, the bloating goes away. :) I was VERY bloated for quite a while, nothing I really did helped it. Yes, it's super uncomfortable and your clothes are tight but I don't think there is much you can do. The bloating is your body getting used to the extra hormones, just like before your period.

I think mine finally got better around 11-12 weeks.

@RachelNicole: I'm in the same club at 6 wks 4 days. I'm just glad I saved some of my "fat pants"

@zippylef: Thanks for the hope! But I've definitely got my fingers crossed that it goes away sooner than 4 weeks from now!

I have bad bloating too - if I let it all hang out, I actually look pregnant even though I'm only 5 wks 6 days!  Dresses are my friend right now.

@zippylef: ooohhh I can't wait until it goes away!  hopefully I won't have to deal with it too much longer!

@Goldilocks1107:  I've just been wearing my pants unbuttoned under looser shirts.  I don't think any of my clothes would be comfortable.

@winniewolf: I was showing my husband my stomach last night and saying how it looks like I'm already showing!  He seems to think it is the baby...but I know it is just bloat!

I've been trying to read around and see what I can find.  Some articles say to eat more smaller meals and to avoid gassier foods (like beans and onions).  But that doesn't seem to really help me.

I am a mini-mealer and it's not helping.  I do drink carbonated beverages (gingerale, seltzer) b/c they are soothing and I won't cut them out.

My bloat didn't hang around for very long. Maybe just for a week around my 4w mark.

Stay away from carbs as they will tend to bloat you more...by carbs I mean breads, pasta and rice....I would just eat lots of veggies, fruits and meats...hope this  helps.

I'm at 16 weeks today and mine hasn't gotten much better :(. I start off the day looking somewhat regular and by the end of the day I look like I'm 6 months along. It's the only kind of bump I have at this point! I've just been wearing dresses & tunics with leggings as much as I can- jeans and other pants do get uncomfortable, even with the Bella Band. My doctor suggested Gas X- I haven't tried it yet but it might be worth a shot.

My bloat has recently turned right into bump, so yea.  It may not go away, it may just get harder!  :)

    I am 12 weeks.
