I applied three times; I never re-wrote older posts. I deleted posts that were really bad/just fluff, and I wrote a lot of new posts so that the old posts weren't at the front of the blog anymore. I think a lot of the people voting won't dig way into your archives (but that is just a guess, since I never did when I was voting).
Good luck!
I got accepted my first time, but what I would recommend to you is just working on new posts as opposed to editing old ones. Maybe delete some really bad ones and rewrite them completley. Focus on your blog being less of a "diary" and more of a story. Does that make sense? I would also say one thing that really helped me "find my voice" was to consider my audience. I try to ask myself "would someone who doesn't know me want to read this?"
Thank you guys for the advice! All good ideas. I went back and hid a bunch of my crappier posts last night and I'll focus on writing more quality posts before I reapply. Makes much more sense/is much easier than rewriting half my archives, haha.

Another question for the blogger bees!
For those of you who got rejected the first time around, what did you do differently on your blog/in your application the 2nd time that got you accepted?
For example, I know a lot of blogger bees have said that they "tried too hard" their first time around, and the second time around they blogged true to their voice and that's what got them in. I think I had that problem big time, so my posts since getting rejected and realizing that have been in what I feel is a better, more accurate "voice" for myself.
But what did you do with the posts you'd written before that, in the "trying too hard" voice? Did you go back and rewrite them ALL the 2nd time you applied? Did you leave them as-is and just hope they judged your newer posts?
I ask because I want to reapply but I don't know how to handle the old posts that got me rejected last time. I have almost 70 posts and I cannot possibly go back and rewrite them all. I've rewritten the more important ones (dress, vendors, rings, etc.) and I'm happy with how they've come out, but I can't possibly do that for every single post on my blog. Should I hide the less important posts and just rewrite more of the important ones? Should I just leave the old posts as-is and hope they judge me on my newer posts only, which I've been conscious to write in my own voice as opposed to trying too hard?
Those of you who got rejected once or more times, what did you do? Is there anything else you did differently on the time you got accepted?
Thanks ladies!
