I have a popular blog. I have advertisers who pay to be featured on my blog. Therefore, self-promotion.
It's definitey not something everyone does (blog for business that is), a lot of blogs are still just about sharing ideas/thoughts/knitting/whatever.
But yes, sometimes blogs will have ads or features or something that creates revenue for the blogger

So lately I have been reading a lot of posts about blogging and I guess I am just way out of the loop but how do you make blogging a business? Also, I am confused why sharing your blog is self promotion. Do people make money off their personal blogs? I thought they were just to share thoughts and ideas with friends/other people. I'm not being a troll or anything I am just legitimately confused....
