    Hi Ladies!

For a little bit of fun, what are you something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue? Here's mine:

Something Old: The broach on my headband is from 1948
Something New: Haven't figured this out yet, but probably my jewelry
Something Borrowed: My mom is looking for her handkerchief that she used when she got married
    Something Blue: My shoes!

And a silver six pence in my shoe...my grandmother gave me the penny from 1903 that my great grandmother, my grandmother and my mom all wore in their shoes!

My Matron of Honor called me the other day about this.  She called both his mom and mine and the Maid of Honor and arranged who would be doing what.  My mom found my late grandmother's wedding and engagement rings for me to sew into my dress somewhere for my something old.

I'm secretly hoping for some cute girly panties for my something blue!

Old - my mom gifted me my grandmother's 2nd engagement ring, which I will have tied into my bouquet

New - my dress, shoes, hair piece, etc...

Borrowed - No clue!  No one's offered me anything, yet!

Blue - I'm painting my toenails blue and having my girls sign the bottoms of my shoes with blue markers.

And for the last part, I found a penny from 2004 (the year we met) and one from 2010 (the year we're getting married) that I'll put in the bottom of each shoe.

    Yeah! I love this.

Something Old: My Moose necklace was around my bouquet. It's not that old, but it was for my Angel Baby, Moose. (Didn't wear) My Great-Grandma's silver cake server. I loved having it there to represent my Great-Grandparents because I knew most of them.

Something New: My sister bought me a pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings because she knew I lvoed a bride in pearls.

Something Borrowed: My StepMother-in-Law's pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings. My sister twisted the new and borrowed together with the necklace and bracelet. It was SO pretty.

Something Blue: My bouquest was wrapped with blue, the keep garter McHusband and I made had blue, and my bridesmaids were in blue too if that counts.

I loved each of my "Somethings" because they all had meaning, especially my new pearls.

    Oh, I love this!

Old: A ring, bracelet and watch that were gifted to my mother's cousin's husband's mother from her husband back in the 1920s.

New: jewelry and shoes--the shoes were so new I didn't even SEE them until the day before the rehearsal dinner!

Borrowed: the rosary my sister carried during her first communion that she then carried with her bouquet when she got married. I wrapped it around my bouqet too.

    Blue: the ribbon my garter

    I couldn't find a six pence in time. :(

Old:  not sure yet.  Consulting with my bridesmaids on this one! Panties? LOL

New: my dress, veil, tiara, etc . . . .

Borrowed: also not sure yet.  Consulting with bridesmaids on this. Mom's not in the picture, not even on speaking terms with me, so that basically counts her out.

Blue: the beautiful new blue sapphire necklace my husband gifted me at my choice as his wedding present for me! Yes, I was thinking of "something blue" when I made my choice and it goes nicely with my gown! YAHOO

This is fun! Do you all have suggestions for things old and things borrowed? I'm asking my bridesmaids, because one is a VERY good friend, another is a very good friend I've known since I was 15, and the third girl is actually my new sister in law.  Should I also ask my new mom-in-law for options?  I thought about that . . . she'd probably be thrilled I asked!

Something Old: My late-grandfather's tie clip will be clipped onto my bouquet

Something New: My new pearl bracelet!!

Something Borrowed: I'm going to wear the pearl studs my mom wore when she married my dad :)

Something Blue: TBD - I'm thinking either my garter, or blue "I Do" stickers for the bottom of my shoes! Orrr... I just looked, and one of the "gem stones" on my shoes is blue! Ta da! Yay
